Governor Agbu Kefas Visit to Howai Government Secondary School, Mile Six, Jalingo, Taraba State

The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, personally made an unscheduled visit to Howai Government Secondary School, Mile Six, Jalingo to inspect and reinforce His administration's unshakeable commitment to the 'Free Education Policy', as we launch the reconstruction of Schools across Taraba State.

The objectives of this Executive visit?

  1. To inspect firsthand how free education is transforming students' lives.

  2. To engage with students and teachers on the challenges they still face.

  3. To reaffirm his commitment: No child in Taraba will be left behind.

  4. Launch the reconstruction of Schools across Taraba State.

The moment Governor Kefas took office, he made a bold declaration: “Basic education in Taraba State will be free - no child should be denied schooling because of money.”

Skeptics laughed. Others asked, "Where will the funding come from?"

"Ah Oga, My Pikin Don Dey Go School Now! Na Free! God Bless Our Governor!"

That's what my regular "mai suya" customer said:

"Ah oga, my pikin don dey go school now! Na free! God bless our governor!"

This was a man who, just a year ago, could barely afford to feed his family - now, his child was in school without paying a kobo.

That’s the kind of impact Governor Agbu Kefas is making in Taraba State.
