Hello, IbiFounders! This is Simon Zaku - Founder, CEO, IbiFoundry Limited and for this week's Ibi-Talent Hunt Series, we will be doing something quite didifferent.
Something unique. Ready?
You see, I’ve never written a post like this before.
But after several months of attending Father’s Delight International Ministries (FDIM), Jalingo branch…
…I knew I couldn’t keep quiet anymore.
I mean, this is the exact reason, purpose and drive that myself and the IbiFoundry E-Magazine team designed our one-of-a-kind Ibi-Talent Hunt Series.
To find, locate and shed light on Taraba (and Nigeria's) hidden/negletted Nigerian talents, ideas, outstanding public figures, businesses, talents and untold Nigerian stories I strongly believe the entire world needs to know about.
So let us do something special in this week's Ibi-Talent Hunt Series featufeaturing Taraba's very own Pastor LEGSON PANINGA.
You see, some men of God don’t just preach the Word — they teach it so clearly that your spirit has no choice but to grow.
That’s how I’d describe Pastor Legson Paninga.
This is not a paid promotion.
And I don’t work for FDIM.
I’m simply sharing my honest Nigerian experience in this publication.
Because I believe the world deserves to know about this remarkable teacher of God’s Word.
Let’s begin.
To Begin with, Who Is Pastor (Dr.) Legson Paninga?
Pastor Legson Paninga is the resident pastor of Father’s Delight Ministries, Jalingo chapter.
He is a powerful, humble, and wisdom-filled man of God who truly understands what it means to teach the Word.
He’s not just a pastor.
He’s also a coach, a mentor, and a consultant helping people grow spiritually, emotionally, and even relationally through his personal brand: “Towards A Better Home.”
With his wife, Pastor Favour Paninga, they’re building strong homes and stronger faith communities — one soul at a time.
A Quick Look at FDIM Jalingo: The Spiritual Oasis I Didn’t Know I Needed
FDIM Jalingo isn’t the biggest church in Taraba.
But I can tell you from experience — it might be one of the most spiritually authentic.
It’s a place where the moment you step in, you don’t feel judged.
You feel seen.
You feel fed.
You feel home.
I was invited by a dear friend and sister in Christ, Love Samuel.
That one invite is one I am glad I graced.
My First Personal Experience at FDIM (And Why I’ve Never Looked Back)
It was a regular Sunday.
But what I heard that day was anything but regular.
Pastor Legson was teaching about the body, soul, and spirit.
He used a clear, relatable illustration to show how our spirit is the “middleman” that hears from the Holy Spirit and passes messages to our mind.
Then — this blew me away — he randomly called six members of the church by name to demonstrate his points and teachings even better.
It wasn’t rehearsed.
And I believe everyone understood the message. Because Pastor Paninga explained just like a parent would explain something complex in the simplest forms to a 7-year old kid.
From teenagers to elders.
And that’s when I realized:
This Man of God, isn’t just preaching.
He’s teaching.
Why His Teaching Style Changed Everything for Me
Most pastors preach with fire and passion — and that’s powerful.
But teaching gives you understanding.
And for someone like me, understanding is where transformation begins.
Pastor Legson doesn’t shout.
He explains.
He paints pictures with words.
He gives relatable life examples.
And most importantly?
He makes sure everyone understands.
2 Impactful Sermons by Pastor Legson I’ll Never Forget
1. The Significance of Easter
I’ve celebrated Easter all my life.
But this one message explained it in a way I’d never heard before.
He said:
“There was no connection between us and God. But in His love, God gave His most precious possession – Jesus – to restore that link.”
That moment shifted something in me.
2. Spirit-Mind Connection
In another service, Pastor Legson said:
“The Holy Spirit doesn’t speak to your flesh. He speaks to your spirit. And your spirit informs your soul.”
That message helped me understand why sometimes God speaks and people miss it — because their spirit isn’t tuned.
2 Personal Quotes from Pastor Legson That Hit My Heart Deeply
“You are not too far to hear from God. You are just too distracted to notice.”
“Jesus is not just God’s only Son — He is the first. You and I are also sons. Let that identity sink in.”
Those words have stayed with me.
Because they remind me of who I am in Christ.
5 Unique Things I Absolutely Love About Pastor Legson Paninga
He knows his members by name. Even if it’s your first time, he’ll recognize you.
He teaches — not just preaches. You leave with understanding, not just goosebumps.
He is deeply punctual. Services start and end on time. At least all the times I have attended.
He offers direct access. You can get his WhatsApp for mentorship. Zero pride.
He practices what he preaches. His lifestyle, content, and conversations all align with his messages.
What’s Next? The Man Behind “Towards A Better Home”
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Legson is a relationship and personal development coach.
He runs a consulting brand called Towards A Better Home, focused on helping families and individuals grow in godliness and wisdom.
You can follow his content on Facebook and Instagram.
It’s not just inspiring — it’s insightful.
