  • How I Attract Backlinks Without Cold Outreach: My Evidence-Led SEO Framework

Original / Historical Transcript And Media The premium edition above reuses the strongest original media and writing. The native transcript below remains as a crawlable archive of the page's earlier wording and media structure. The material below preserves the original article, screenshots, videos and first-person history where available. Current product, platform or search-engine information in the premium edition above takes precedence when details have changed. This website (simonzaku.com) has over 600 backlinks at the time of writing this blog piece and about 200 of those are DO-FOLLOW backlinks. And I have never done any backlink outreach campaign for this website! At the time of writing, I have NEVER sent or done any email outreach for backlinks for my website, simonzaku.com. Not to cancel backlink outreach (actually effective), I'd rather use this hidden-in-plain-sight-backlink-secret. I do ONE SIMPLE thing and my backlinks and backlink profile grow automatically by attracting natural backlinks without having to send 100s of outreach emails for backlinks or paying spammy websites for backlinks. Recommended Blog: Writing Cold Outreach Emails That Convert: the 'VCR' Strategy This is your favorite SEO and content marketing guy, Simon Zaku and this week I want to talk about an important and popular topic, backlinks. Every website owner wants backlinks. Every startup, agency, every organization, every company wants more backlinks. But how do you get backlinks? How do the top guys get backlinks to their websites? This is a known approach yet many SEOs shy from it. I say this because lots of website owners pay huge sums for backlinks. Why I Don't Pay for Backlinks (my horrible story buying backlinks) Here is my Google penalty story. Sometime in 2020, I came across an ad on Facebook. This application promised website owners could buy cheap backlinks to any website. You can create different backlink campaigns for different pages with this backlink software. I bought the software and started campaigns. This sent a few (horrible) backlinks. None of the backlinks were from trusted sites. Most of these backlinks were from bots, AI, and spam websites. They were mostly hurtful black-hat SEO backlinks. After some time, Google hit my website and I lost my search traffic, I lost my organic traffic, and my traffic went low and for that reason, I had to shut down this very website. I relaunched this website sometime in July 2023. For this reason, my website's SPAM score was affected (still working to get it back low). UPDATE: After strategic work, my site's Spam Score is now 1%. I published a detailed guide to teach you how I did it (from 47% to a 1% SPAM SCORE). How about paid guest posts for backlinks? I still get emails from people offering paid backlinks at different rates from different websites in niches. Search engines like Google are strict on paying for backlinks from harmful sites. Google frowns at purchasing backlinks, especially when they're spammy. So what is this hidden-in-plain-sight backlink-attracting strategy? How to Attract Backlinks to Your Website without Sending Outreach Mails Blogging (or Vlog) Content! And YES, every brand should keep and run a blog. Think about it; rather than pay thousands of dollars for a backlink, this is a natural approach to attract backlinks. The easiest way to attract backlinks is by creating exceptional SEO content. • My 2024 Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa Invitation: The Founder Story And What It Actually Meant

Hello guys, Simon Zaku here, your favorite SEO consultant and specialist in blog and content writing for businesses. This blog post sort of just came in and I didn't plan on making a post like this (but I can't hold my excitement, I had to post). This is me sharing a big win, something I have always dreamed about. This is a success point and achievement for me especially coming from Jalingo, Taraba, Nigeria. With no guide whatsoever to a FORBES INVITATION? I see this as a dream come true and I had to share this with you guys. To share my gratitude and show my journey from a Nigerian teen born and raised in Jalingo, Taraba state, to the Forbes Under 30 Summit in 2024. This is in respect of my profession as a consultant in digital marketing who specializes in SEO. Getting a Mail from Forbes (a Dream Come True for a Taraba Boy with 0 Experience) I got this LinkedIn email from the official Forbes account. The mail read that my professional experience was reviewed by the audience and community marketing team over at Forbes. Forbes is inviting me to attend the 2024 Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa, held in Botswana from May 5 to 8. Are you certain I am not in a dream? Haha, this might not feel like much to a lot but for me? For Simon? The quiet kid from Donga Road who always is on the computer? It's a huge win for a person at Forbes to see my professional experience as worth reviewing. And after reviewing, decided I was worth the Forbes Under 30 Summit. That's a huge win for me. A huge win for the Simon Taki Zaku brand. And I thank God, for the journey, and the process for this invitation. For lots of sleepless nights, misunderstandings with family, arguments, and more, this is more than a dream come true. If you've been following my works for the past 6, 7, or 8 years, you must have seen that Forbes has always been something I looked up to. Forbes is a publication I grew up hearing even here in Nigeria. Though I never had or held a physical copy of any Forbes magazine (not sure it's in Nigeria, or my location), I always looked up to Forbes as that credible, trusted magazine I could always rely on. Coming from Nigeria, Forbes wasn't a popular physical magazine, but the name Forbes has had its popularity as a credible source of information. I remember having arguments with my friends about the richest musicians, the richest hip-hop artists, the richest politicians, and all of that. And what we always do is we look up Google for the Forbes list because we know Forbes is that one magazine you can almost always trust. I can not count the number of times I've searched: "Forbes Richest List 202" "Who is the richest black man according to Forbes" "Richest rappers Forbes list" So I always wanted to have something to do with Forbes. I always wanted to write for Forbes. I was able to dig up an old tweet I made sometime in 2022 about my wanting to write for Forbes. I've always had the dream to be on Forbes one day, either featured or as a writer. And then waking up to this around 02:00 a.m. here in Nigeria was mind-blowing. I was looking at the mail and I had to constantly cross-check the profile I got the in-mail from to be sure I wasn't getting scammed (or from a fake page). And wow, all I can say is, wow, thank God. And I'm thankful to you my blog and YouTube subscribers and anyone who made this possible. I'm thankful to the Forbes team, I'm thankful to the Audience and Community Marketing Team that reviewed my profile, and my experience and saw me fit to attend the 2024 Forbes Under 30 Summit in Botswana. So I'm glad and this is a huge milestone for me. This is a dream come true. And this just reminds me that consistency is the key. A few years back, I wanted to have something to do with Forbes. And now, without even sending any writer application or anything, I get an email from Forbes inviting me to a summit. So this is a huge win for us. Now, am I looking forward to attending the 2024 Forbes Under 30 Summit held in Botswana? Hell yes. I will do all I can to attend this summit. I've always wanted to travel out for work-related events. I want to be able to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs here in Africa and beyond. I want to meet innovative people from different backgrounds, ethnic groups, cultures, and ideas. So definitely this is an exclusive opportunity. I'll also keep you guys updated here on the blog and the YouTube channel on how the 2024 Africa Forbes Under 30 Summit goes. And share with you guys my experience. So thank you so much for the support and don't forget to follow the blog, my LinkedIn profile (Simon Taki Zaku), and my YouTube channel (SimonWrites Agency) for all updates. • X Automation Tools In 2026: What Is Allowed, What Is Risky And What I Would Automate

What is Twitter automation? Can I automate tweets on Elon’s X? I emailed over 200 social media influencers in the social media marketing space to put in their contribution to this very expert round-up post, which simply asked for their best X automation tools and tactics that they used. To begin with, what is Twitter automation? Or as we popularly know, what is Twitter Automation today? What is Twitter (X) Automation? X (or Twitter) automation is simply the use of AI, bots, or other automated computer systems in order to send out automated tweets, automated DMs, or automated tweet replies on the X platform. Twitter automation has been used for a very long time and there has been thousands of developers who have come up with Twitter tools that you can use to automate some of your X tasks, like tweets, comments, replies, DMS, etc. So what we'll be doing in this X automation tools and tactics resource is we're discussing the best X automation tools or X automation bots and tactics that you can use in 2024 and beyond. I'll also mention some of the top X automation tactics that are powerful to use right now, and some social media management tools you can use to automate your tweets on Elon's X platform. Before any automation on any social media network, consider getting yourself familiar with the platform's automation rules and guidelines. Always ask yourself; what are the rules that your automation must follow? This will protect your social media accounts from getting banned, locked, or disabled. Twitter Automation: X's Rules and Guidelines for Automating DMs, Tweets, etc. There are a few rules, automation rules for X but here are some of the major ones. The first is spamming. Elon Musk's X platform pays attention to spam activity and is quick to ban accounts who fail to adhere. Next, automated accounts or bots may not automatically post trending topics or post the same content on multiple X accounts. This is so because news and trending topics are meant to be shared on the go and not automated. That's what X stands for. Your brand should too. If you post duplicate content multiple times on your X account using an automated bot or an automated tool X account, you risk getting flagged or disabled. Another thing is misleading links. Musk's X says you may not post third party links that are misleading to the X community, or promote sensitive media, abusive behaviour, or automate confidential information without the proper authorization. Go through the complete resource on the X website to read the entire X Automation rules and guidelines to keep your X account safe. Mary Fernandez Create your tweets in bulk and schedule them in advance using a social media management tool! I use Buffer, but you could also use a tool like Meet Edgar that allows you to create evergreen X campaigns. "Mary Fernandez founded Persuasion Nation; a website dedicated to course creators and bloggers. She has worked with 7- and 8-figure online businesses to double traffic and revenue" 2. Adam Connell My number one tip is to switch to a tool that offers a unified social media inbox, as well as the option to mark individual (or all) messages as complete. This means you can manage all of your accounts from a central page, and mark items as complete as you go. So you can stay organized and save time. I started off using tools that are focused around social streams (e.g. Hootsuite). All of the jumping between streams was a big time drain. And if I didn’t get 100% up to date, I’d have to spend 10 minutes or so figuring out where I was up to. And it got even messier when switching between devices. But with the right tool you can focus on doing more of what matters. Sendible is one of my favourites for this, but there are others on the market. "Adam Connell is the founder of Blogging Wizard. He used to manage the content marketing efforts for brands earning well over 8 figures in annual revenue" 3. Ryan Biddulph I hop on X for 20 minutes per session just to engage. Usually I only spend 1 session daily to retweet folks, to engage my retweeters and to like or engage other tweeters who publish interesting content. Engagement is the backbone of any social media campaign. By spending 20 minutes daily chatting up my followers and meeting new folks I manage my time effectively and grow both the size and engagement of my following. "Ryan Biddulph is a blogger behind Blogging From Paradise, author and world traveller who’s been featured on Richard Branson’s Virgin Blog, Forbes, Fox News, Entrepreneur, and Neil Patel Dot Com" 4. Zac Johnson My favorite method for managing multiple social media profiles on X is to use a software like MeetEdgar, which allows me to schedule and rotate different content going to each of my accounts. This works great for sending traffic to your old blog posts, while also making sure your X accounts are going live with new content all the time. Some people will only focus on sharing content during the peak hours of the day, but if this is the case, you are likely missing out on a ton of traffic throughout the day (specifically during peak hours in other countries). So to answer the question again, I use social media schedulers to keep my accounts active and updated at all times. "Zac Johnson is the founder of Blogging Tips. He is an Entrepreneur, Internet Marketer, Blogger, Super Affiliate by Day, and Super Hero at Night!" 5. Srish Agrawal When using social media and X to promote our business and blog content, we first share the content through all of our own social platforms directly. The next step in the process is to add such content into our social media scheduler so the posts don’t go stale or get lost over time. At the same time, we will also create a variation of social tweets and images, to make sure our followers aren’t seeing the same social updates time and time again. For the most part, once a post goes live and we’ve created a variation of social updates, the process is pretty much automated. It’s just that beginning phase for each post that is more of a manual process. "Srish is the founder of A1future and Infographic Design Team. He is also a branding and internet marketing expert" 6. Will Blunt I have found that automation and delegation is fundamental to managing a Twitter profile effectively without spending hours stuck on the platform every day. I pre-schedule Tweets with FlypChart, automate RSS feeds with Dlvr.it, automate evergreen content with Meet Edgar, and delegate social media management to people in my team. This frees me up to engage with followers, answer questions and generally just be present for those high-impact moments on X. "Will Blunt is the Founder of Blogger Sidekick and Managing Editor at both JeffBullas.com and Bluewire Media" 7. Katherine Sullivan You make time for the things that are important to you. For me, connecting with my X community is incredibly important as I value their connection tremendously. I set time in the morning 15-20 minutes max to write my tweets or write a few draft tweets to send out later in the day. Then I like all my mentions and respond back when necessary. A little bit of time goes a long way! "Kat is the founder of Marketing Solved. She is a Business, Marketing and Social Media expert and helps businesses get more leads" 8. Devesh Khanal I try to keep Twitter more fun and raw than, say, a blog, or my LinkedIn. If I find good articles I read, I schedule tweets for them, but I also make more controversial statements about my views on marketing, post screenshots of eCommerce product experiences that are good or bad that I run into. It keeps it more casual and fun. I find that helps start more conversations with folks rather than just a huge buffer queue of articles. "Devesh is the co-founder of Grow & Convert. He is one of the best content marketers I’ve ever known" 9. Terry McIntosh My number one secret to managing my twitter while building a business is to use automation properly. I have a service that helps me find the right people to follow. I have an auto DM that ENGAGES people (not puke all over them with stuff about me), and a tool that autoposts a variety of tweets from my blog, from memes, and from promos. Crowdfire for the DM and Meetedgar for the automation. "Terry is the Founder of Biz Coach Terry. He helps small business owners get more clients, make their businesses more predictable and do it all without losing their sanity" 10. Simon Cocking Little and often. No need to tell the world what you had for breakfast either, just keep sharing useful, quality content, both yours and other peoples too, and ideally in an equal mix, no need to self promote all the time too. If you schedule your tweets, or outsource your twitter marketing then you miss the opportunity to respond to opportunities, challenges and issues effectively. We do have some tweets automated to be shared on a schedule, but we also use human oversight and intuition to monitor the account to get the best of both worlds. It is a ‘social’ media platform, and if you push it all to automation or outsourcing you are losing the value of it. Also remember that tweets don’t last for long and across the world people wake up at different times, so time your tweets accordingly. "Simon is a Senior editor at IrishTechNews. He has founded three companies and two Coops" 11. Keith Keller “X Management 101” Is all about the tools. To manage Twitter successfully you must have the right tools, It’s simply impossible to keep up otherwise. There are THOUSANDS of Twitter tools out there now, here is my favorite. BUFFER: I just love the simplicity of this tool. Great for scheduling your tweets super-fast! "Keith Keller is the “Global Marketing Specialist” and now has clients around the world. He is also a popular speaker on the subject of Social Media (especially X)" 12. Carmen Lascu My number 1 secret to managing my X profile is to allocate at least 30 minutes daily to check my account. I actively follow other users I am interested in, I follow back those who followed me, I engage with my followers and I curate content to add it to Buffer. I find using a scheduling tool because I can choose when I want my content to be shared to reach the audience I am looking for. 20% of the content I share on Twitter comes from my Social Media Blog and 80% from other sources. You can manage your business and your social media presence if you are organized and use tools that help you share content easily. "Carmen is a social media expert and shares her social media expertise on her website’s blog. Carmen has been listed as one of the top social media influencers on Huffington Post" 13. Mark Schaefer My advice on Twitter marketing is to not market on Twitter. People are sick of being marketed to. Nobody goes to twitter to see you sell stuff. Instead, have fun, add true value, connect in a human way and build trust in you and your content that will lead to increasing levels of engagement. "Mark is the founder of BusinessesGROW.com. He is a keynote speaker, executive branding coach, marketing strategist and Podcaster" 14. Evan Carmichael Look at X as a way to grow your business. When you prioritize it as a legitimate marketing channel to bring in leads instead of just something to have because everyone has it, that’s when business results start to happen. "Evan Carmichael is a Canadian entrepreneur, author, speaker and business consultant. The social marketing expert runs a popular YouTube channel for entrepreneurial and motivational clips" 15. Dennis Seymour For a tool, it has to be Buffer. Integrate different services to it and let that schedule content. I assigned a VA to go through the content too just to be sure it gets regularly screened. I also schedule some of my own content bi-weekly or monthly depending on the account. For my personal account, I only look at notifications once every other day just to clear it off. It saves me time and I get to respond to those that have tweeted me. I guess my strategy is to schedule relentlessly because X will suck you in, especially once you start rolling and start meaningful conversations with other people. "Dennis Seymour is the Co-Founder of LeapFroggr Inc. Dennis is a digital marketer, SaaS guy and a life-long entrepreneur" 16. Ian Cleary I think it’s very important to use a good social media management tool and Agorapulse is excellent. One great feature is the ability to create draft responses that I can reuse over and over again. By using a good management tool you’ll save a lot of time, generate more engagement and build a bigger following. For managing my second account I still use Agorapulse and it makes it easy to swap between accounts. "Ian is the founder of Razorsocial. Razorsocial works with clients all around the world on marketing consultancy or training programs focused primarily on content marketing and relationship building" 17. Jason Acidre I’ve always believed that there’s nothing more important than spending more time and effort on tasks and areas of the business that will put more money in the bank. And in our case, staying ahead through marketing is very vital for our business. That’s why I’ve made sure “managing my X account” would be a part of my daily/weekly tasks. Same as to how I’ve included research and reading relevant content to our business as part of my responsibilities in ensuring our team will stay on top of our game. As you can easily set 15-30 minutes of your time per day to be spent in this area of business marketing. I think the key is to first understand the value of this channel to your business. Like in my case, I see a lot of value in reading, sharing, and building relationships with other practitioners in our space. That’s why it’s easier for me to decide whether it’s really important or not. "Jason is an Entrepreneur, Speaker, Digital Marketing Strategist, and Former Pro-Counter Strike Gamer. Jason started a personal blog, Kaiserthesage, to test experiments related to Online Marketing" 18. Dave Schneider We have someone who does this exclusively and uses tools like Hootsuite, but the whole team has access to the business’s X profile so they can also jump in when needed. We regularly discuss our content strategy, so we’re all aware of the topics we should and shouldn’t cover. The formula is simple: post any new article up on the blog, and share anything else that’s relevant and interesting. The same relevant + interesting standard applies for following, unfollowing, and engaging with our audience. "David Schneider cofounded NinjaOutreach. An all in one Prospecting and Outreach tool which was created to streamline the process of connecting with influencers" 19. Bryan Hutchinson One of my favorite tools that saves me a ton of time is a WordPress plugin, Revive Old Post. It tweets out older evergreen content that might otherwise die if left unattended. "Bryan Hutchinson is a writer whose work has been published in newspapers, national magazines, books, and on world famous blogs. He created Positive Writer for fellow writers to create work that matters" 20. Andy Crestodina If you follow everyone back, your following will grow faster for sure. A lot of people use tools like ManageFlitter (no longer active) to unfollow people who don’t follow them back! Organic reach in social platforms is low. Around 1%. So you need to share things over and over if you want them to be seen. You can use Edgar to keep things in social rotation forever. It’s a paid tool, but it does wonders for your social traffic. Just make sure to watch the performance of those social posts. Go back and optimize them, drop the low performers and polish up the good ones. Use images, special characters, mentions and hashtags. They’ll be shared automatically dozens of times so make those posts shine! "Andy Crestodina is a cofounder of Orbit Media Studios, an award-winning web design company, which has completed more than 1,000 successful website projects" 21. Syed Balkhi The best thing we have done for our twitter is to use Buffer as our scheduling app. I share our newly published articles, motivational quotes, as well as older popular articles from my blogs. A combination of these with some retweets work really well for growing engagement. "Syed is an award-winning entrepreneur recognized as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by the United Nations. He founded companies like WPBeginner and OptinMonster" 22. Michelle Schroeder-Gardner The number one thing I do to help grow my brand on Twitter is that once a month I sit down on Hootsuite and schedule shares out for the whole month. I am still active on Twitter with real-time posting, but automating sharing my articles saves me a lot of time and helps to spread it out evenly throughout the day, week, and month. Plus, it helps me to better share other people’s content as well! "Michelle Schroeder-Gardner of Making Sense of Cents earns about six figures a MONTH with her blog and has been featured on top publications like Forbes" 23. Noah Kagan I just have 1 person at each company run the social accounts. Simple. "Noah Kagan is an American Internet entrepreneur and the founder of Sumo. He now runs a massive YouTube channel for Entrepreneurs" 24. Michael Babcock Leverage tools to not spend all your time on twitter, but don’t forget to check in with those who your automation tools are finding to engage with you. "Michael is the founder of Yourownpay. He is also a podcaster and coaches people how to handle the tech with Podcasts, YouTube videos, and digital e-courses" 25. Alfred Lua My favorite strategy for Twitter is to use a scheduling tool like Buffer and schedule great content to go out consistently. This allows me to maintain a consistent presence on X without having to find and share content manually on a daily basis. More importantly, this gives me the time to engage with others on X and focus on other work. "Alfred was a content crafter at Buffer and wrote for the blog with 1.4 million monthly visits. Visit Alfred’s website here" 26. Raelyn Tan My number 1 secret to managing my X is to use the Revive Old Post plugin. It automatically tweets out my old blog posts at regular intervals. This helps to bring a steady stream of Twitter traffic to my old posts, and keeps my X account active without any additional effort from me. "Raelyn is the founder of Raelyntan.com. She provides No-fluff tips for online entrepreneurs to build a profitable blog and business" 27. Suzi Whitford I use a free automatic system through IFTTT to schedule all of my Twitter posts. "Suzi Whitford is an Industrial Engineer and blogger. She blogs at Startamomblog.com" 28. Brian Jackson I have spent many years playing around with X automation and different ways to grow my account. As I got busier and busier with my daily tasks, time management became more of an issue. I can thankfully say I have a great system in place which grows my Twitter by 600+ new followers a month and it is completely 100% automated. I tweet once in a while for fun, but I could now leave for vacation and my Twitter will keep on growing. Here is my secret, and it’s not that hard. Anyone can do it. I utilize Quuu to share third-party content and then SmarterQueue to share my blog post’s evergreen content. By having a good ratio of third-party content + my content is a secret recipe for success. These are two tools that save me hundreds of hours and generate a lot of great conversations. I now spend time responding to leads on X and no more time wasting time on sharing random content. I’ve made more business relationships on Twitter than any other social network. "Brian has has a huge passion for WordPress and even develops premium plugins. Brian enjoys blogging, movies, bike rides, and flipping websites" 29. Jeff Bullas You need to automate the sharing of your content on X as much as possible but not the conversations. If you don’t do that you will not get any meaningful work done. I use the Agorapulse tool to send out a tweet every 15 minutes to grow my targeted following. "Jeff Bullas is a social media speaker, blogger and strategist and content marketing expert. He has been named by Forbes as Top 10 Social Media Influencer and his blog as #1 Global Business Blog" 30. Aaron Orendorff My big secret is Quuu.co. Quuu is a hand-curated automation platform for Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn (although, I only use the Twitter side). Hand-curated means the Tweets they automatically send to my Buffer account are legit: high-quality, original, and pre-sorted according to the topics my audience and I care about. I also use Quuu Promote to get my own content into rotation. It’s been an absolutely game changer. The tools simplify my own sharing and have incredible reach and engagement through the promotions. It’s automation that feels human. "Aaron is the founder of iconiContent. He has been featured in Forbes’ Top 25 Marketing Influencers" 31. Nirav Dave To improve user engagement, having a posting schedule that is consistent is extremely important. Since out of sight is out of mind, to ensure that your readers don’t forget about your brand, publishing frequently is essential. Also, make sure to optimize your social sharing images as the recommended image size for each social channel differs. For Twitter automation, I use a combination of tools such as; Hootsuite: This is an amazing scheduling tool, especially for novice bloggers. It is easy to use and allows you to bulk schedule social media posts for varied streams. Ritetag: This is a great tool that helps you to find the best and trending hashtags for text as well as images. You can download this for free as a chrome extension and it can be easily integrated with HootSuite and other tools. Click to Tweet Plugin: Make it easier for your readers to share your content by installing the Click to tweet plugin. This plugin is a popular tool used by many and can help drive more traffic to your site. "Nirav Dave specializes in all things Web Design & WordPress Development. He breathes WordPress and Loves to read anything and everything about this exceptional CMS" 32. Vladimir Gendelman Tools like Hootsuite are very convenient for scheduling evergreen tweets throughout the day so that you only need to set aside a specific, contiguous block of time for updating Twitter. It makes for a much more productive use of time than sporadically checking your feed and tweeting throughout the day. "Vladimir is the Founder of Company Folders and Printwand. He is an entrepreneur and thought leader in the print design industry" 33. Harsh Agrawal Out of sight is out of mind” is one thing everyone should keep in mind when planning for social media marketing. For me, Twitter is all about connecting with my fans and readers. At the same time, it’s a means for me to stay connected with my friends, mentors, and inspirations. Here are 2 super fast strategies I follow for X automation that you could copy today. 1. Pick a social media posting tool like Social Pilot, AgoraPulse or similar. Schedule posts in advance and make sure to check your analytics once in a while (quarterly is fine) and republish the most engaging one. 2. Follow only a few people: By saving yourself from information overload, you can find more time to do meaningful stuff. This is why it's better to let go of inactive, auto-pilot, link-spam and similar other X profiles. "Harsh Agrawal is an award-winning blogger who is endorsed by brands like Google, SEMRush, and IBM for his work over at ShoutMeLoud" 34. Sam Hurley After experiencing being on the very edge of Social Media insanity not so long ago, this is a highly relevant topic! My #1 tip? Block your time. That means turning notifications off and NOT responding as and when tweets come through — or checking Twitter notifications multiple times each day. This isn’t conducive to productivity or growth! Sam is the founder of Optim Eyez. He holds a fluent understanding of Digital Marketing and went From ‘Nobody’ to #1 Marketing Influencer in 15 Months (Without a Website). 35. Samantha Kelly The secret is to have a great team around you so they can cover for you when you are out and about. You need to be always online in case of a query etc. I also have google alerts set up so that if there is anything relevant to the account I am managing I can tweet that out also. It’s not all about me, it's important to share others’ content also. Tools to help: Contentcal is one of my favorites and I love DesignWizard for making graphics. Tweetbeam is great for events and for hashtag curating on the day. Also Tweetbinder for tracking the reach of a particular hashtag. "Samantha Kelly is the founder of Tweetinggoddess and WomensInspireNetwork. She’s a social media strategist (especially X) and teaches brands how to tweet the right way." 36. Madalyn Sklar My #1 secret Twitter tip is being consistent. The one thing I found that separates the high profile users on Twitter from everyone else is consistency. If you want to stand out, get on X every day and connect. Engage with your community. This strategy works well for all your social sites but especially on X. By taking the time to tweet at least a few times each day, you will increase your visibility dramatically. Even if you spend 10-15 minutes a day. Doing so regularly each day holds more weight than spending an hour once a week. The tools I use for this are Hootsuite, Buffer and Social Jukebox. "Madalyn is a renowned social media marketing expert. She is the founder of the (then) amazing twitter chat for social media marketers, #TwitterSmarter." 37. Evgeniy Garkaviy I manage just over a dozen X profiles, plus my own personal twitter page. For clients’ twitter profiles, I use Hootsuite. One great productivity tip, especially if you post to X and Instagram is to compose your tweet, add a square photo and you have a tweet that is also Instagram compatible. One important thing to remember when posting on X and Instagram is that you should limit the number of hashtags between 2 or 3, but on Instagram, you may add 10 or more hashtags. "Evgeniy is the founder of Temi. He is an SEO consultant. He is also an online marketing strategist at Hopespring" 38. John Nunez I wouldn’t consider this a secret but I think it would be “focus”. Like with many other social platforms, It’s very easy to lose yourself in the myriad of things you can do. What I do is set up specific TweetDeck streams for each day of the week. For example, let’s say Monday is “outreach” day. That means that on Monday, the only thing I’ll do is reach out to people and promote my content. That way I can get more things done and avoid wasting my time on the platform. "John is the founder of JohnImSecrets where he shares exclusive Inbound Marketing Tips, Techniques and Guides" 39. Kasey Luck My secret to managing Twitter has been an amazing automation tool called MassPlanner – it allows you to schedule tons of tweets and set up auto following, retweeting, auto mentions and a lot more for a very cheap subscription price. Unfortunately, they no longer accept new members, so the next company that can offer all those features at a competitive price is going to be big! I also used the tool called Audiense to create audiences for auto-following and auto mentioning, which was an amazing boost to my X strategy. "Bold & Zesty is run by Kasey Luck. Kasey has worked for the world’s fastest growing venture fund in the world, 500 Startups" 40. Aaron Sylvan I have a few very carefully curated lists of people who REALLY post great stuff. My browser has shortcuts I can click to directly open my “growth hackers” list or my “futurists” list, for instance. This way, 5 minutes/day is enough for me to find some cool stuff, RT exciting content, and answer any DMs. Every month or so I queue a bunch of posts over time in hootsuite, so I don’t have to stress about keeping my feed fresh. This means I always have good stuff in my timeline, with no lapses. And then whenever I’m at a great event, I tweet a bunch with its hashtag – pretty much 100% chance that a social media manager will amplify my signal. "Aaron is a business & tech consultant. He’s built multiple funded software companies, launched dozens of products, managed 7-figure budgets, closed 6-figure sales to Fortune 500s, and served as CEO, CTO, and advisor to Angel and VC investors" 41. Shane Barker I try to be as active as possible to keep my Twitter audience engaged and grow my brand on the platform. While this can be a bit challenging, tools like Quuu and Buffer have been super useful in saving time. Quuu provides me with content suggestions in relevant categories. This saves me a lot of time in figuring out which posts I should share with my audience. Buffer helps me schedule posts to be tweeted out at the right time when my audience is most likely to be active. I can also use it to monitor the performance of my tweets. In between the scheduled tweets, I still tweet out personally to further improve engagement. "Shane Barker is a digital marketing consultant who specializes in influencer marketing, product launches, sales funnels, targeted traffic, and website conversions" 42. Chris Makara For me, the best way to save time on X is by automating repetitive tasks. And one of the best ways to manage your brand on X is through social media scheduling. Sure, it’s no secret that a large majority of Twitter users schedule their tweets. But for me, my secret is to automatically recycle my evergreen updates. It’s one thing to manually schedule the same thing over again and again. But I like to take it one step deeper and re-use my updates. No need to manually schedule the same thing again and again. Just schedule it once and have it recycled automatically for me. I currently do this with a tool I developed that will automatically recycle your social media content on Buffer. Saves me countless hours each month. "Chris is a digital and social media marketing expert. He is the founder of Bulkly, a social media automation tool for individuals and small businesses" 43. John Paul Aguiar For me, I like to be active when growing my X following. Plus I like to do it manually, to guarantee I get Targeted and Active followers, since for me, it is about the quality of my followers that I care about and NOT the numbers. To grow a Twitter following quickly and correctly, you need to start with being active, sharing quality helpful and targeted content on a regular basis. Be available to reply to comments and answer questions. Added to that you want to be active and follow 200 people a day and monitor your results.” "John is an Expert Blogging Entrepreneur and Marketer. He helps bloggers build successful blogging businesses through Coaching, Consulting, Tips, Tricks and Tools" 44. Rebekah Radice When it comes to online marketing, X offers a short and sweet way to get your message out. But finding a balance between growth and management can be a challenge. I use the native Twitter app to quickly scroll through my notifications, see what I missed while I was gone, and respond to mentions. All you need is 5 minutes: go to “Home,” to see new tweets – find 1-2 your audience would find relevant and retweet, then go to notifications and scroll – respond to 2-3 that comment or respond to one of your tweets, now look at who retweeted – click through to 5 and follow who’s relevant. Now keep it going. The key to success is in the conversation! "Rebekah is the founder and CMO at RadiantLa. She is also an Entrepreneur, Author and speaker" 45. Robbie Richards Set up a list with the top influencers or publications in your industry. Each morning spend about 5-10 minutes browsing the content curated from the hand picked accounts on that list. Anything that is trending, actionable or generally provides value to your community, add it to an automated sending tool like Buffer. Also, don’t be afraid to regularly recycle your best evergreen content. Always mention people/publications as you share, and make sure to respond to positive interactions to start building relationships you can draw on in the future for things like co-marketing, guest posts, roundups or even links. Hey, I'm an SEO guy from Nigeria; and I run the best SEO & Content Marketing blog on the internet :) Read my story on how I started blogging from a little place where I still live, Jalingo, Taraba state, Nigeria, from my hostel bunk and grew it to $3,000 per month. Today, I help businesses, start-ups, and busy solopreneurs plan and write blogs attracting leads and customers. Here is a popular principle I designed for writing high-converting blog articles for any business or website on the internet. Every blog article published must accomplish 3 things I refer to as the 3 Es of writing high-converting blog posts: E1 - Excites a target audience to read, E2 - Educate them on a specific topic, answer the market's questions + Educate readers on how specific products or services can help ease their pain. E3 - Entice readers to try your products or services. Professional SEO Specialist for Hire: How Did I Get into SEO and Content Marketing? My Nigerian story... A decade ago, on a Friday evening here in Taraba, Nigeria, my journey into the world of blogging began. At 13, I was walking around the neighborhood and bumped into an old friend (and mentor), Job Benedict, who was into blogging at the time. His infectious excitement got my attention, and to my amazement, he had just cashed out $60.00 from Google AdSense. That was a lot of money converted to Nigerian Naira at the time! It still is. The revelation that someone in a rural area like Jalingo, Taraba state, Nigeria, in 2012, could earn in USD simply by utilizing a computer was amazing. Unfamiliar with a blog, I eagerly asked Ben, "What is a blog?" He explained that a blog was a platform where one could earn through Google AdSense. Driven by curiosity, I continued asking Ben; "What is Google AdSense" "How can I get started too?" Ben enlightened me describing it as a platform connecting with a blog to display adverts and generate income in USD. I was determined to embark on this journey. "How do I get started?" His simple advice was, "Google it out, Simon" Motivated by my friend and mentor, Ben, I decided to go into blogging. The next day, I quickly created my first blog—a free platform running on Blogger BlogSpot. This was a moment that has since shaped my online presence and aspirations. Blogging for Business: What Exactly Do I Do for Businesses? You see, every start-up wants to achieve one goal or another. This could be to get more sign-ups, registrants, leads, booking, and sales, or acquire paid users for your start-up or application. Businesses also want to increase traffic, brand authority, and reach, and build a loyal fanbase. Founders often ask; How do we generate leads on Instagram? Is X great for B2B marketing? You see, Instagram and X could get you a handful of clicks to your startup website or a few users here and there. LinkedIn is also powerful for generating potential leads, clients, and users. Except you have a budget of $1,000s for paid social adverts. BUT SEO BLOGGING IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT GAME. Effective start-up blogging or b2b content marketing can get you 10 times more organic traffic, sign-ups, leads, and customers than most social networks without breaking the bank. Did you know? 30% of digital agencies don't have a blog (Prosposify). Most of those that do, either publish a few times a year or most times don't publish at all. Think about the ideas behind every Google search. Today, there are over 8 billion Google searches every day. Yahoo's search engine gets over 1 billion. That is a lot of possibilities for your brand objectives through search engines. About 4 years ago (during the pandemic), I wanted to grow my traffic, and leads and eventually sell a book from my blog. I ended up publishing this book and sold a few copies. You can click this link to check the book. Plus, I got this email out of nowhere! I wrote and published SUPER detailed and engaging blog content each week. The results? Within 6 to 8 weeks, I had published 12 blog posts. Every blog post had a minimum of 2,000 words. One article was a 10,000-word resource guide while a few posts were around the 3,000-word mark. This caused tremendous growth in my search engine, social, and direct traffic. This also tripled my email newsletter Sign-ups in less than 2 weeks. Clients I Have Worked With? I've gone over to work with and apply the same SEO and blogging techniques for brands like UniclixApp.com, A1future.com, and, Cyberbackpack.com! My content has been shared by some of the most influential marketing minds in the b2b industry. The material below preserves the original article, screenshots, videos and first-person history where available. Current product, platform or search-engine information in the premium edition above takes precedence when details have changed. This blog page explains what business blogging is. Why do businesses blog? My name is Simon Taki Zaku, an SEO Consultant and owner of this blog, and I have been blogging for the past twelve years. I started from a little space in Jalingo, Nigeria, to my hostel bunk in Osun state, creating blogs as a freelance SEO writer. I started writing for other blogs as a freelancer. I worked with other businesses to create their business blogs either to generate revenue, attract traffic, or convert leads. Why does a business need a blog? "Aren't blogs just for writers and authors?" Your business, brand, NGO, company, or startup can build a community around a blog. This could be videos, articles, or podcasts on your business website. Business blogging allows your target audience to learn from you, drop comments, and re-share your blogs on social media platforms. Other reasons businesses blog may be to; increase brand exposure, generate quality leads for your agency, or, say, a real estate agent. With a blog, businesses can attract leads easily. attract organic search traffic (buy-ready traffic) Unlike just having a random website with just a few pages like; the about page contact us pages a team's page a store or product page and, a few landing pages. These pages alone can only rank for a few keywords on search engines. But as a business, you can create dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of pages on your business domain and rank for as many organic keywords as you want. Get the idea? Here's why these two hosting services have become my go-to choices, both for personal projects and client websites. Wix: A User-Friendly Haven for Creativity Wix has won me over with its unparalleled user-friendly interface. As an SEO professional, time is of the essence, and Wix drag-and-drop website builder enables me to create visually stunning and functional websites in record time. The diverse range of templates caters to every niche imaginable, providing a solid foundation that I can effortlessly customize to align with the unique branding and SEO needs of each project. Secondly, Bluehost: From an SEO perspective, Bluehost provides a stable foundation for websites to thrive. The one-click WordPress installation simplifies the process of setting up a website, and the platform's robust security features help safeguard against potential threats. This level of reliability and security is crucial in an era where online visibility hinges on trustworthiness and site performance. Bluehost's scalability is another feature I value. As an SEO professional, I often work on projects that evolve and grow over time. Bluehost accommodates this scalability seamlessly, ensuring that websites can handle increased traffic and data demands without compromising on speed or performance. Other great web hosting service providers I recommend are Hostgator, Namecheap, and Hostinger. Nirav Darji - Easy-techy.com Hello, I am Nirav Darji. Prioritize providers with cutting-edge infrastructure, incorporating SSD storage and a global CDN for unparalleled speed and reliability. Scalability Unleashed: As an expert navigating the digital frontier, opt for hosting solutions that epitomize flexibility and scalability. Cloud-based options offer the dynamic resource adjustments necessary to align with the rapid evolution of your digital footprint. User-Friendly Mastery: Ease of management is a hallmark of expertise. Select a hosting partner that mirrors your commitment to excellence, providing support that transcends the ordinary. Financial Precision: Expertise extends to financial acumen. Let these insights serve as your compass as you navigate the intricate decisions surrounding web hosting. Forge a strategic alliance with a hosting solution that mirrors your commitment to excellence, ensuring that your digital journey unfolds as a testament to your mastery of the digital realm. The best web hosting companies, in my opinion, are: HostGator: Users get unmetered storage and bandwidth, free domain registration, and a 45-day money-back guarantee. They also have awesome support. Bluehost: This web hosting service is used by many brands, and it’s easy to see why. 50GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and a 30-day money-back guarantee are hard to beat. DreamHost: Like HostGator, DreamHost offers unlimited storage, bandwidth, and free domain registration. But it goes a step further and gives a 97-day money-back guarantee. You have more than three months to decide whether you like it or not. Adam Abdulraheem - DMi - Digital Marketing Agency (DMi Agency) As the director of a marketing agency that not only crafts digital strategies but also provides web hosting services, we've navigated the complex world of hosting solutions on behalf of our clients. They often look to us for guidance on where to best host their websites and sales funnels. After years of experience and comparison, we've distilled our top choices down to a couple of standout providers. Namecheap has been our go-to for over six years, and it's a partnership that has stood the test of time. The reason for our loyalty is simple: reliability. We've hosted countless client websites without a single hiccup, which is no small feat in the digital realm. Their service offerings are robust, user-friendly, and, importantly, affordable, making them an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes. Bluehost is another provider we often recommend to our clients. What sets Bluehost apart, in our experience, is their exceptional customer support. In the rare instances when issues arise, their responsive and knowledgeable support team has been instrumental in providing timely solutions. Their hosting services are not only reliable but also offer a range of features that cater well to our clients' diverse needs. Choosing the right web host is crucial for any online venture. Both Namecheap and Bluehost stand out not just for their technical capabilities but for their customer-centric approach, making them our top recommendations for 2024. Alice Musyoka It’s no longer news that industry-leading companies and brands have a website or blog where they promote their products and services. With over 5.3 billion Internet users in 2023, these companies realized the need to explore the Internet and convert these numbers into leads and customers. Hence, they invested heavily in websites and blogs for better and improved income profits. They created attractive and user-friendly landing pages that will entice visitors and capture their attention (talk of love at first sight). Additionally, they hired experienced content writers to publish well-written and valuable blog posts that will rank high on search engine result pages (SERPs). This explains why top brands often update their blog posts to beat competition. After generating thousands of organic traffic through optimized posts, they create an irresistible sales funnel that converts traffic to leads and long-term customers. Unsurprisingly, Colibri revealed that a monetized website recorded an average $1000 monthly income. What does this mean? That's pretty simple. You need a website to thrive in this digital era. However, all of this relies on having the right web hosting provider behind your website because the journey of a successful website begins with a quality host company. Italoye Ibukun Ebenezer - Vibrantyouthlife.com As an SEO content writer and blogger, I will share the key factors you should evaluate when choosing a web host for your business. What is a Web Host? A web host is a company that provides the technology, hardware, and services required to host a website on the Internet. They are in charge of the Control Panel, Bandwidth, IP Address, Connectivity, and Server Space upon which you build an effective website. Six Factors To Consider When Choosing a Web Host Below are the five significant factors to consider before choosing a web host for your business: Uptime and Reliability Uptime is the number of times a website is accessible to users. It reveals how often a website is available to the public. Check the host's historical uptime rates over the past year. Anything less than 99.9% uptime isn't good for your business. Otherwise, your site will keep going down too frequently. I regretted using a Host company for my blog (perfectlife.com.ng) in 2018. The downtown was way more than the uptime. Eventually, the blog crashed after six months of hard work. Speed and Performance Speed and performance are criteria Google and other search engines use to rank websites (or businesses) on result pages. Fast page load speeds keep visitors engaged with your content instead of abandoning your site. Google reported that sites witnessed at least a 10% drop in traffic for every extra 5 seconds of load time in 2023. If you want laudable organic traffic and a commendable spot on SERP, go for a web host offering fast connectivity and ample server resources. How can you know the host with fast speed and performance? Visit the host company's website and observe the loading time. Find another host if the site takes more than 3 seconds to load. Alternatively, you can explore online tools (like DebugBear) to gauge how quickly pages load. Security Security is paramount as cyber attacks keep increasing tremendously. At a minimum, your web host should offer SSL encryption, firewalls, regular software updates, and security patches. Additional protections like DDoS mitigation and malware detection also add more defence against attacks. You wouldn't want to expose your business data and personal information to the lurking eyes of online fraudsters. Customer Support No matter how reliable the host, issues can sometimes occur. Therefore, you must choose a web host with 24/7 customer support via phone, chat, and ticketing systems. The reps' response times and friendliness also speak volumes regarding the company's service standards. I have tried Namecheap, Hostinger, and Hostnownow; I enjoyed their customer service. Upgrade Options You will need a larger saving space as your website grows over time. Therefore, I advise you to choose hosts that allow seamless upgrades to higher-level plans or more capable servers. Price Here is another crucial factor to consider. Web hosting costs range from $2 to $15 per month, depending on your plans. Consider your budget, features, and benefits before settling for one. However, don't compromise other factors while looking for the most affordable options. My Recommended Web Hosting Solutions Based on my experience as a blog admin for vibrantyouthlife.com, I recommend Namecheap and BlueHost. They guarantee reliable uptime and fast loading time, and are affordable (especially Namecheap). Nonetheless, take time to research before committing. Compare uptime, speed, customer remarks, costs, and customer support. Dave Schneider - Shortlist.io Choosing a reliable web host involves considering key factors that I can separate in several categories. It’s really a no-brainer, but this is something that I like to follow when choosing the right web host. Performance and Reliability: Uptime: Look for providers with consistent 99.9% or higher uptime guarantees. Avoid hosts with frequent outages or downtime. Speed: Choose a host with fast server response times and efficient CDNs to ensure your website loads quickly for visitors. Scalability: Make sure the host can accommodate your website's growth. Can you easily upgrade resources like storage, bandwidth, and processing power as needed? Also, ensure the provider offers easy upgrades or the ability to switch to a higher-tier plan. Security and Features: Security features: SSL certificates, malware scanning, DDoS protection, and regular backups are essential to safeguard your website and data. Software compatibility: Make sure the host supports the programming languages, databases, and CMS platforms you need for your website. Control panel: Choose a user-friendly control panel for easy website management, even if you're not technically proficient. Evaluate the control panel provided for managing your hosting environment - features like one-click installations, staging environments, automatic backups, and easy version control can be valuable. Support and Services: Customer support: 24/7 reliable and knowledgeable support is crucial for resolving issues quickly. Look for multiple channels like phone, email, and live chat. Additional services: Do they offer managed hosting, email hosting, domain registration, or other services you might need? Budget and Value: Pricing: Compare features and benefits of different plans to find the best value for your money. Avoid going for the cheapest option if it compromises performance or security. Money-back guarantees: Look for hosts with transparent pricing and reasonable refund policies in case you're not satisfied. Challenges and Overcoming them: Navigating the web hosting landscape can be a challenge. Here are some I've observed and potential solutions: Information overload: With so many providers and plans, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Research thoroughly, compare features, and focus on your specific needs. Choosing the right type of hosting: Shared, VPS, dedicated, managed - each has its pros and cons. Understand your website's resource requirements and choose the type that suits it best. Dealing with hidden costs: Watch out for setup fees, bandwidth overage charges, and other hidden costs. Read the fine print and ask clear questions before signing up. One of the things that I think is important (and often overlooked when it comes to choosing a product or service) is looking for reviews and testimonials. These can be incredibly helpful in verifying the reliability and quality of the product or service in question. So, next time you are considering making a purchase, don't forget to check out the reviews and testimonials to ensure that you are getting the best possible product or service. By prioritizing these criteria and being aware of potential challenges, you can find a reliable and trustworthy web hosting partner that empowers your online presence. Remember, the perfect solution is subjective and depends on your unique needs and budget. Do your research, ask questions, and switch if needed. Hamraz Hussain For 2024, my top web hosting picks are reliability-focused A2 Hosting and feature-rich SiteGround. They consistently deliver performance and support excellence. Prudence Onaah - Prudentpens.com My top web hosting solutions are Siteground, Hostinger, and Hostgator.com. We use Siteground at our business and their services are excellent. The loading time, website speed, and customer support are top-notch. We tried to migrate to a different hosting provider in 2022 and immediately regretted it. Our CTO at Prudent Pens also recommends Hostinger and HostGator because both hosting providers offer a range of affordable hosting options, fast loading time, and a 99.99% uptime. Precious Oboidhe - Contentestate.com Not having to think about hosting fees is one reason I like HostGator. I opted for their three years plan, which cost me almost 100% less than the monthly plan. Since using HostGator for almost 3 years, their support has been responsive, too (very important for anyone who dislikes codes). Qasim Bakare D20.com.ng In the realm of web hosting, identifying a reliable partner requires careful consideration of key criteria. At D20, we prioritize the following factors: Server Reliability and Uptime Scores: We emphasize providers with robust server infrastructure, ensuring high uptime and stringent security measures. Customer Service: A responsive and accessible support team is paramount, offering 24/7 assistance and live chat features. Site Backups and Security: We prioritize hosts offering reliable site backups and comprehensive security protocols. Scalability and Flexibility: Our preference lies with hosts offering scalability options and adaptable hosting plans to accommodate growth. Loading Speed: Swift loading speeds are non-negotiable, guaranteeing optimal user experience and search engine performance. Cost and Refund Policy: We conduct thorough research into pricing structures and refund policies to ensure transparency and value for money. E-Commerce and Email Options: For clients with relevant needs, we seek hosts offering suitable e-commerce and email hosting solutions. In our quest for the perfect web hosting solution, challenges such as downtime, slow loading speeds, and inadequate support have been encountered. However, through diligent research and a keen understanding of our website's requirements, we've overcome these obstacles to find hosting partners aligned with our needs. In summary, prioritizing factors such as reliability, customer support, security, scalability, and loading speed is paramount in selecting a robust hosting solution, ensuring optimal performance for websites. Joel Haye Bluehost - along with unmetered bandwidth and SSD, Bluehost has proven to be a great option for start ups with their great customer service and robust server support. Hostgator - A tie with bluehost in regards to features and support. GoDaddy - Great for easy website set up. SEO vs PPC vs Content Marketing - 30 Industry Experts Reveal Projections As an SEO and B2B blog specialist, here is my input: Simon Taki Zaku - Founder, SimonZaku.Com As a business, there is no one-size-fits-all in marketing and promotion, especially in today's media world. Businesses must clearly understand what they want. Search Engine Optimization is a long-term game wich involves all the tasks carried out to ensure long-term organic traffic growth. PPC, on the other hand, is a short-term game and requires advertising budgets. PPC allows you to hit your business objectives in a short time as compared to organic growth (or SEO) Content Marketing is the process of researching, planning, creating, optimizing, and promoting a piece (or pieces) of content (videos, blogs, PDFs, cheat sheets, podcasts, etc.). Content marketing and SEO involve consistency with months of consistent and valuable content. What is the difference between Content and SEO? Content creation, writing, and promotion are a strong part of search engine optimization. SEO involves technical SEO, on-page, off-page SEO, or backlink building which do not necessarily require content creation or promotion. Another thing to keep in mind is your budget. SEO and content marketing are long-term strategies while PPC is a short-term approach with fast results. If you are looking to run a campaign for one of your new launches, you can run PPC ads on landing pages that advertise your specific products or services Understand your business needs and classify exactly how SEO, PPC, or content can fit into your strategy. My name is Simon Zaku, a digital marketing consultant and SEO specialist in blog writing. I am the founder of this website. You can request a Free SEO Audit from me within 24 hours here. Adam Abdulraheem The interplay of SEO, Paid Ads, and Content Marketing forms the cornerstone of any brand's strategy aiming for long-term online dominance. At DMi Agency, we've honed our expertise across these areas, launching numerous successful campaigns over nearly a decade. Here's my perspective: SEO Optimization: serves as the foundation for enhancing your website's visibility. It involves a comprehensive approach to align with website SEO best practices including internal linking, page speed, image optimization, meta description, backlinks, etc, to ensure your site ranks prominently within your industry. This groundwork is essential for any sustained online presence. Content Marketing: on the other hand, is the art of cultivating authority, trust, and rapport with your audience. It's not just about producing content; it's about crafting messages that resonate on a deeper level with your audience while incorporating SEO strategies like keyword optimization. This ensures that when potential customers search for relevant terms, your brand emerges as the industry expert. Content is said to be king in marketing as that is one of the most effective ways to give value to your customers while naturally promoting your products or services to them. Paid Advertising: offers a rapid visibility boost, delivering immediate exposure, awareness, engagement, and sales. Its strength lies in its speed and breadth, reaching a wide audience quickly, albeit at a cost. The effectiveness of paid ads is directly tied to your budget and tends to last for a very short time, with results declining as soon as the campaign is off unless it feeds into a sustainable marketing funnel. Achieving harmony between these elements means viewing them not as isolated marketing tactics but as complementary forces within a cohesive marketing strategy. The key is to leverage each according to its strengths— website SEO for foundational visibility, content marketing for depth and engagement, and paid ads for quick wins and specific targets. This integrated approach ensures a robust, connected strategy that drives both immediate results and long-term growth. Adam Abdulraheem is the visionary founder of a distinguished marketing agency named DMi with offices in Nigeria and the UK, celebrated for its innovative digital marketing solutions. Nirav Darji, Founder & Owner of Easy-techy.com Hello, everyone! Nirav Darji here from easy-techy.com, and I'm excited to share my insights into the fascinating future of SEO, Paid Ads, and Content Marketing as we step into 2024. With over three years of experience in these domains, let's delve into the projections for each strategy and how they will shape the digital landscape. 1. SEO For me, SEO has always been the bedrock of online visibility, and in 2024, it's poised for significant evolution. Search engines are becoming more sophisticated in understanding user intent, emphasizing the need for businesses to align their strategies accordingly. Personalization will be key, requiring a deep understanding of our target audience. 2. Paid Ads Paid advertising is set to undergo a transformation marked by precision and automation. Ad platforms embrace advanced AI algorithms, reshaping how businesses reach their target audience. Refining audience targeting strategies to ensure ads resonate with the right demographic will be crucial. 3. Content Marketing In the era of information overload, content marketing is evolving into authentic storytelling. As we look ahead to 2024, the focus will be on crafting narratives that resonates. Quality over quantity will be the mantra, with a keen understanding of our target demographic's preferences. Interactive content, such as quizzes, polls, and augmented reality experiences, will become integral to our content marketing strategies. Engaging our audience in a two-way conversation fosters a sense of participation and community. User-generated content will play a significant role as we encourage our audience to become co-creators of our brand narratives. Nirav Darji is the founder of Easy-techie.com. He is an Entrepreneur, SEO, Content Writer, and WordPress Blog Developer. Lindsay Eke How can each of these powerhouse be the ideal digital tool that your business needs? Let’s dissect each of them. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) With Google and other search engines now a pivotal part of our everyday digital lives, SEO will always have an integral role to play in digital marketing. Through keyword research and website optimization, businesses can elevate their online presence in search engine rankings, ultimately drawing organic traffic to their websites. One of the most beautiful aspects of SEO is that it is organic, and its impact is long-term. This way, your business can build trust and credibility with its audience. SEO requires patience, perseverance, and nurturing to start yielding results. Paid Ads Call Paid ads the distant cousin of SEO, and you won’t be wrong. Paid ads are targeted and campaign-driven. Paid ads elevate your brand to the top of search engine rankings and social media pages, giving you more visibility. The advantage of paid ads is that they are effective and suitable for targeted marketing aimed at reaching a specific audience. On the con side, it is usually short-lived, meaning you have to keep investing in it if you still want that surge of “dopamine rush” effect on your digital marketing. Content Marketing Content marketing is unique and in a league of its own as a digital marketing tool. It maximizes the power of storytelling through blog posts, articles, podcasts, and engaging videos to give a brand visibility. Its potency lies in using stories to draw customers in and nurture relationships. Content marketing fosters brand loyalty creates awareness, and positions your brand as a thought leader. With the right resources, such as dedication, creativity, and consistency, the benefits of content marketing are long-term. While none of the techniques above supersedes the other, maximizing all three can catapult your business to another level, ultimately increasing sales and revenues. I am Lindsay E. Eke, an SEO content writer, content marketer, and ghostwriter who has spent the last 5+ years helping small business owners, entrepreneurs, and founders to achieve their content marketing goals and establish their brands as thought leaders. Zohe Mustafa - Growthhakka.co.uk Here are a few key tactics I would recommend for effectively integrating SEO, paid ads, and content creation in a marketing strategy: 1. Take an audience-first approach. Understand your target audiences and buyer personas deeply. Create tailored content that speaks to their needs and interests. This will help drive organic and paid traffic, as well as conversions. 2. Ensure content aligns with keywords. Research high-value keywords that align to your products or services AND your personas. Optimize pages and content around those keywords to boost rankings and traffic. But don't over-optimize at the expense of user experience. 3. Leverage paid ads to amplify top content. Identify your best-performing pieces of content. Create paid ads that send highly targeted traffic to those pages to increase their reach. This can accelerate SEO results. Think YouTube paid ads, use YouTube search-optimized videos to drive organic traffic, and use the same videos in paid ads. Zohe Mustafa is a Seasoned C-suite Digital Growth Leader with over 25 years of driving transformative growth for global organizations across diverse industries including Retail, SaaS, Telecoms, Healthcare, Technology, Hospitality, e-commerce, and Digital Media. Arslan Tariq - ArslanSEOInsights Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has been a driving force in digital marketing for years, and its importance continues to grow. In 2024, we expect SEO to play an even more significant role in online visibility and organic traffic generation. With advancements in search algorithms and user intent analysis, SEO is projected to become more nuanced and tailored to user needs. Industry leaders like Google constantly refine their algorithms to provide users with the most relevant and valuable search results. To stay ahead in the SEO game, marketers need to focus on: Creating high-quality, valuable content Optimizing for mobile and voice search Leveraging structured data and schema markup Prioritizing user experience and site speed Predicted Trends in Paid Ads Paid advertising has long been a staple of digital marketing, but as we look ahead to 2024, we anticipate several key trends that will shape the landscape. The rise of AI and machine learning will revolutionize paid ads by allowing for more targeted and personalized campaigns. Platforms like Facebook and Google Ads already leverage AI to optimize ad delivery, target specific audiences, and improve overall campaign performance. To stay ahead in the world of paid ads, marketers should consider: Embracing automation and AI-powered bidding strategies Exploring new ad formats, such as video and interactive ads Leveraging hyper-targeting to reach specific audience segments Monitoring and optimizing campaigns in real-time for maximum ROI Future Direction of Content Marketing Content marketing remains a powerful tool for engaging and nurturing audiences and will continue to evolve in the coming years. As we move into 2024, marketers must adapt their content strategies to meet changing consumer behaviors and preferences. Personalization, authenticity, and storytelling will be critical to effective content marketing campaigns. To excel in content marketing: Create personalized content experiences tailored to individual user needs. Embrace user-generated content to foster authenticity and trust. Leverage the power of storytelling to connect with audiences on a deeper level. Optimize content for voice search and emerging technologies like smart speakers. Arslan Tariq is the Founder and CEO of ArslanSEOInsights, a leading authority in the field of SEO services. With years of experience, Arslan is renowned for his pioneering insights and innovative strategies that drive success in the ever-evolving digital landscape. Jason Patterson, Jewelcontent.com SEO is inbound. Paid ads are outbound. Content marketing is a little of both. And most B2B brands need all three. However AI is making it harder for any brand to sustain a competitive advantage through SEO or SEO content. Instead, the sustainable advantage will increasingly be created through content AI can’t generate (at least not entirely), namely thought leadership, original research (i.e., whitepapers), and expert advice (i.e., e-books). However, such content often isn’t SEO-friendly (one cannot search for the cutting edge since you don’t already know what it is). Brands must compensate by ramping up their promotional efforts for this content, including digital ads. In other words, brands must make their content marketing more outbound to compete. Jason Patterson has been resisting the pull of half-assed marketing content since the golden days of advertorials. He is the founder of Jewel Content Marketing Agency, where he blogs about content, social media, B2B marketing, and other related topics. He also shares hard-hitting and often humorous marketing takes on X and LinkedIn. Alice Musyoka Creating high-quality content is now more important than ever. Don’t spend time writing fluff, get right to the point and provide lots of facts and statistics. While content is still the foundation of any SEO strategy, ensure the content you’re pushing out aligns with search intent. Then use paid advertising to target specific audiences, re-engage prospects, and increase brand awareness. Also, track and analyze results to optimize what’s working and ditch what’s not. Alice Musyoka is a Tech and Finance Writer, SEO, and Digital Marketer. She's available on LinkedIn here. Prudence Onaah Businesses need to get clear on their marketing goals. The marketing strategies that a business ought to prioritize would depend on the growth stage of that business. CMOs and CEOs would need to determine what their digital marketing goals are for the year. Additionally, sales teams need to determine the prevalent stage of the buyer's journey in their funnels. Are most of their leads getting off the funnel just after getting to know the business? If this is the case, they would need to prioritize middle-of-the-funnel content like how-to guides, product overviews, case studies, video tutorials, eBooks, whitepapers, podcasts, and so on. Regarding their marketing goals, are they trying to build brand awareness? Are they trying to generate more traffic to their offers? Are they trying to nurture their leads and convert them into sales? Getting clear on where the business is at and what they need to do to grow would make it easier to choose the right digital marketing strategies and strike the right balance between these strategies. Businesses should combine organic efforts with targeted paid advertising in a way that aligns with their marketing goals. Similarly, they should set SEO goals that guide their content creation process. Content teams should integrate keyword research into their content creation and maintain consistency and relevance. By determining what they set out to achieve early on in the process, it would be easier to combine SEO optimization, paid advertising, and content creation in a way that benefits the business. Prudence Onaah is an experienced digital marketing copywriter at prudenceonaah.com. She is also the founder of Scalable, a digital marketing brand where she talks about digital marketing and helps entrepreneurs discover products and tools to scale their businesses. Peace Chinyere As content continues to play a pivotal role in online visibility, how can businesses strike the right balance between SEO, paid advertising, and content marketing? SEO, paid advertising, and content marketing are important for online visibility. However, striking the right balance between each element varies greatly depending on your business goals, budget, and industry. SEO is important and naturally attracts organic traffic once you are creating high-quality, and well-optimized content with relevant keywords. However, it does not bring immediate conversion. It is a long-term process for building brand visibility. So if you are a business owner who wants immediate conversion this will not be the best idea for you, but you can implement it for your brand visibility. Paid Advertising is also a great element for online visibility. As a business owner, if you want quick visibility for your business, what you need is to boost your reach and target specific users with paid ads on platforms like Google Ads and social media. Content Marketing is crucial for maximizing online visibility in today's content-driven landscape. When you create high-quality, informative, and engaging content that resonates with your target audience, it attracts organic traffic and strengthens your paid ads by boosting relevance and click-through rates. More so, content marketing helps you to utilize various content formats like social media posts, infographics, and videos to pass your brand message, build brand recognition, and attract and convert your ideal customers online. Nonetheless, the ideal balance between SEO, paid advertising, and content marketing depends on your unique business goals, budget, and industry. Precious Oboidhe - Contentestate.com Thinking of SEO, paid ads, and content creation as individual units of a marketing strategy should go out the window. Each one can complement the other and bring marketing costs down. For a new business, paid ads could bring leads to the door, but it is unsustainable (especially when targeting high CPC terms). However, if a business creates content around those high CPC terms, they can optimize it for SEO, run paid ads to the article (educate customers rather than send them to a landing page), and eventually rank organically for these terms (decreasing the marketing cost altogether). Precious is a Freelance Content Strategist and Writer for B2B SaaS and Martech Brands Seeking More Users. Joshua Ogunjiofor - Joshuaogunjiofor.com Content is becoming increasingly important as the day goes by. I’m not even talking about traditional SEO content. AI has so lowered the bar for such low-level content that it’s become next-to-impossible to differentiate yourself in a sea of SEO sameness. I’m talking about expert-led content. Google’s 7-11-4 rule states that a customer needs 7 hours of interaction across 11 touchpoints in 4 separate locations before making a purchase decision. Think of the last time you made a high-ticket purchase of any kind. Chances are you spent quite a bit of time researching and consuming content before you decided to purchase. Only then did you book a call with a salesperson. In other words, you trusted the brand enough to buy from them before ever speaking to someone from the company. You were sold before speaking to a salesperson. If you will convince people to trust and buy from you, you must be able to articulate their problems better than they can. Do this and they’ll have no problem believing you can articulate the solutions. And you can only do this if you’re an expert—ergo, expert-led content. Build your entire marketing strategy around expert-led content. Forget about striking a balance between paid, search, and content. Instead, create expert-led content that demonstrates a profound understanding of your target audience’s pain points and let paid, SEO, and social follow. Use them as secondary channels to promote your content, because it’s with content that you manufacture trust in your prospects. Dave Schneider - Shortlist.io SEO is about delivering exceptional user experiences. Search engines prioritize sites that cater to intent, not just keywords. Think of fast loading, mobile-friendly, and intuitive navigation. Voice search also demands conversational content. AI plays a bigger role, but remember, humans control the narrative. Use AI to automate tasks and analyze data, but your creativity and understanding of user intent are irreplaceable. Finally, build a strong online reputation and establish yourself as an authority in your niche. Earn backlinks from high-quality sites, engage with your audience on social media, and promote user-generated content. In conclusion, 2024 SEO is about more than just ranking, it's about building long-term relationships with your audience. Embrace quality over quantity, experience over keywords, and expertise over hype, and you'll thrive in the evolving search landscape. Remember, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Adapt, experiment, and stay informed to keep your website ahead of the curve. Here are my insights: Understand Your Audience: Tailor your content to match the needs and preferences of your target audience. This will enhance engagement and boost the effectiveness of your SEO and paid advertising efforts. Keyword Strategy: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value terms relevant to your business. Integrate these keywords organically into your content while aligning with your paid advertising campaigns. Quality Content is Key: Invest in high-quality, valuable content that addresses the pain points of your audience. Search engines reward well-crafted content, and it can also serve as a foundation for your paid campaigns. Consistency Across Channels: Maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all channels. This includes ensuring that your SEO strategies align with the messaging in your paid ads and content. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage analytics to track the performance of your SEO, paid ads, and content marketing efforts. Adjust your strategy based on the insights gained to optimize results. Integration of Paid and Organic: Seamlessly integrate your paid advertising with organic content. For instance, use high-performing organic content as a basis for paid promotion to maximize visibility. Leverage Social Media: Utilize social media platforms to amplify your content and paid campaigns. Social signals can positively impact SEO, and paid ads can gain additional exposure through social sharing. Adaptability: Stay abreast of industry trends and algorithm changes. Be agile in adapting your strategy to align with evolving search engine algorithms and consumer behaviors. FAQ: SEO vs PPC vs Content in 2024 What is the major difference between SEO and PPC? The major difference between SEO and PPC is that SEO is long term and once your traffic starts coming in, it becomes almost automatic for your business. PPC yields immediate results from your paid campaigns. The moment you stop paying for advertisements, you stop getting traffic. SEO is a long-term game that requires time, effort, and consistency. As a small business, which is best for a small business, SEO or PPC? Pay-per-click or PPC offers fast results and precise results (customers) for your business. And on the other hand, search engine optimization (SEO) does not offer immediate results. Search engines need to crawl individual web pages which takes time. You need a lot of pages on your website (or blog posts) on your website to rank on search engines organically without paying for ads. With pay-per-click, the moment you stop paying for advertisements, your PPC traffic comes to complete zero. With search engine optimization, once you put in the initial work, you can reap rewards for a very long time. How do I combine SEO and PPC? That's a very great question because businesses can leverage both SEO and PPC. How? Here is an example... You can create a landing page and write content for it, optimize it for search engines (SEO, SEM), and also run PPC (paid traffic) campaigns to that very landing page. So you're doing two things: Paying for traffic (PPC), SEO. You can send paid traffic to the page and get it to rank in the long run by optimizing the landing page with target keywords and building quality backlinks. • How I Find SEO Keywords In 2026: Free Tools, Search Intent And A Practical Framework

Hello everybody, this is your favorite SEO specialist and digital marketing consultant, Simon Taki Zaku. On this blog page, we discuss a popular topic "SEO keywords". What are SEO Keywords? Why do you need SEO keywords for your website? I'll also teach you a step-by-step process to finding lucrative SEO keywords for your business or website. These are keywords that will bring in; Traffic Exposure Authority Customers and Clients Leads And all organic. Because these are search engine keywords. Keyword users like you and I type on search engines like Google or Bing. Here is a screenshot of some of the 'hot' search engine optimization (SEO) keywords I am targeting with this website. I will show you how to do the same for your website, blog, or YouTube channel. To begin with, what are SEO keywords? What are SEO Keywords? SEO keywords are "Search Engine Optimization Keywords". The term "SEO Keywords" is popularly used by SEOs, content creators, marketers, bloggers, and websites to identify keywords that internet (or search engine) users search for on search engines like Google or Bing. 'SEO keywords' stands for search engine optimization keywords and are keywords, phrases, names, questions, or thoughts search engine users type on search engines like Google, Bing, or Pinterest. So for example, a lot of people are looking for different recipes to prepare meals. This results in Google searches on how to prepare different meals. Let us say how to build a home. Here are examples of SEO Keywords people type on Bing and Google (screenshots): All of these are examples of SEO keywords. Get an idea? As a website owner, you want to target SEO keywords that align with your customers, clients, or company objectives. What are your customers searching for on Google? What is your audience searching for on Bing or YouTube? These words, phrases, and questions, are what is described as "SEO Keywords". As a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialist, I sell blog posts to website owners and you can buy directly from my blog here: Here is an example: As someone who sells writing and SEO services, my potential clients online (or on Google) are probably thinking if they should hire me or use AI to write their content. So they type things like: "Is AI taking over freelance writers?" "AI vs freelance writers" So I create a specific blog page to rank for those keywords. On that page, I teach why AI or chatGPT can never be as resourceful as experienced writers. It currently ranks on Page 1 just a little below Forbes' article on the same topic. Here is the Post: AI vs Freelance Writers: 12 Factual Reasons Writers Will Prevail Over AI in 2024 If I can convince them writers are better, I may get them to place orders directly from me. Side Note: Have SEO keywords but do not have the expertise to write out engaging blog content that ranks? You can pre-order bespoke search-engine-optimized blog posts hand-written by me (Simon Taki Zaku) and delivered to you within days. Why are SEO Keywords Important for Every Website? Just by creating a static website, you can only rank for a few SEO keywords. But by blogging, you can create 1000s of pages each targeting unique SEO keywords or phrases. A static website can only have a few pages: About us, Contact us, Our team, Our story, Store page, etc. But if you blog on your website, you can create unlimited (blog) pages that target different SEO keywords for your website. Look at some of the SEO keywords my website (this website) is currently ranking for on Google alone. I am currently ranking for exactly 827 SEO keywords on Google alone. (Read on, I'll show you how to see what SEO keywords your website is currently ranking for on Google and Bing) For this website (simonzaku.com), I target keywords related to SEO, B2B content marketing, blogging, and digital marketing in general. You can see some of the SEO keywords my website is ranking for (Using Google Search Console - a free tool). This is intentional. They don't just happen by accident or by mistake. I intentionally find these SEO keywords then I target them by writing blogs about them. For example, I recently published a guide on SEO vs PPC vs Content Marketing. I targeted the SEO keywords: "SEO vs PPC vs content marketing" "SEO vs content marketing" "PPC vs SEO" "SEO vs content marketing" And in just a few days, I ranked for that SEO keyword on Google. Here is the blog post: SEO vs PPC vs Content Marketing - Industry Experts Reveal Projections My 5-Step Plan to Finding and Ranking for Any SEO Keyword(s) on Your Website I call it the "Naija 5-Step Plan" for discovering SEO keywords. (YOU CAN CLICK TO NAVIGATE) Step 1: Find SEO Keywords Your Website is Currently Ranking For. Step 2: Audit Your Competitor Websites (for even more SEO keyword ideas) Step 3: Use SEO Keyword Tools like Ubersuggest, and SEMRush, to Scrape Out Even More Keyword Ideas. Step 4: Categorize Your Keywords Before Creating Content (not all SEO keywords will drive traffic or sales) Step 5: Write Your Blog Articles for Your Customers (based on your desired SEO keywords). Let us go in detail. Step 1: Find SEO keywords Your Website is Currently Ranking For. The first step to SEO keyword research is to audit your website first. To find possible SEO keywords you are currently ranking for. (If you don't have a website yet, the second step will have secrets for you, keep reading :) Run a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) keyword audit for your own website to see the keywords that you are already ranking for. Here is how to know what SEO keywords YOUR website is already ranking for on search engines like Google: First, go to the Google search console and sign in to and connect/link your website. Here is how to link your website domain to Google Search Console (GSC) for free: Head over to the Google Search Console website and log in to your profile. You can do this by clicking here. Login using your Google account and authorization. Your Google search console (AKA GSC) dashboard should look something like this: Here are some of the SEO keywords my website is currently ranking for: Step 2: Audit Your Competitor Websites (for even more SEO keyword ideas) The second step is to check similar websites. That is competitor websites. Similar websites to yours. Whatever niche your website is, check similar websites to see what keywords they are already ranking for. Let me show you how to find SEO keywords your competitor websites are currently ranking for. There are 3 basic tools I use to find what SEO keywords my competitor websites are currently ranking for on search engines: Ahref Keyword Rank Checker The HOTH Free Google Rank Checker Backlinko FREE Keyword Rank Checker Step 3: Use SEO Keyword Tools like Ubersuggest, and SEMRush, to Scrape Out Even More Keyword Ideas. From the first 2 steps, you should have: SEO Keywords from Your Website. SEO Keywords from Competitors or Similar Websites We will use these Keywords to find even more ideas using free SEO keyword tools like Ubersuggest. Head to Ubersuggest.com and enter your keywords. Ubersuggest even suggests similar content ideas for your SEO keywords. Step 4: Categorize Your Keywords Before Creating Content (not all SEO keywords will drive traffic or sales) The fourth step is to categorize your SEO keywords. This step will help you categorize each SEO keyword. This is where you categorize the SEO keywords you want to be targeting. There are SEO keywords that will allow you to attract traffic. Some keywords are focused on sales, and keywords are focused on attracting traffic. 3 Categories of SEO Keywords (by Simon Taki Zaku) SEO Keywords that attract traffic - I call them SEO Traffic Keywords SEO Keywords that increase exposure - I call them SEO Exposure Keywords SEO Keywords that boost your expertise - SEO Branding Keywords Categorizing your SEO keywords is important because not every SEO keyword is the same. Here's what I mean. Some SEO keywords drive traffic, some increase your reach. Some SEO keywords attract clicks. Some SEO keywords help you build authority, some help you educate your audience, some attract customers, sales, and all of that. What are the major categories? What are the three (3) main categories of SEO keywords every website owner should target? 1) SEO keywords that Attract Clicks (traffic). Second, SEO keywords that increase brand reach. Third, SEO keywords that impact value or teach a specific audience. Additionally, SEO keywords attract sales, customers, and clients. SEO keywords that attract traffic or clicks. For example, for my website, if I create a page and target a keyword, like one secret SEO strategy I use for my businesses when I get this to rank on Google or any search engine, people are going to want to click this to learn this strategy I'm teaching. This is also going to educate readers. Users will want to click and read, unlike SEO keywords that solely increase your brand reach. (I'll be using my website as an example) The blog post with the most impressions on this website is the search engine optimization definition blog article. Here is the link: SEO Definition: What is Search Engine Optimization? This may not necessarily generate clicks because once people search these keywords, they can easily read through them on Google without having to click. Get the idea? These SEO keywords are keywords that people do not necessarily have to click through before they get the value they are searching for. And this is a result of Google's feature, Google Snippet. Thirdly, we have SEO keywords that add value or educate your audience. These include; how-to guides, cheat sheets, web classes, courses, detailed ebooks and many more The fourth (and one of the most powerful) are SEO keywords that attract customers, sales, or clients for your business. Now let's say you are a, you sell iPhone accessories online, you can create content like; the best iPhone cases to buy. buy an iPhone power bank in ... what is the best iPhone case to buy for durability? You know that when you get clicks from these keywords, there is a high chance a sale will be made. People searching for the best iPhone cases or the best men's shoes to buy are most likely ready to purchase if they get a trusted vendor and a price they can afford. And lastly, SEO keywords that increase or boost brand authority. You can create web pages that are around thoughtful or provoking content (in a positive way) in your niche, An example on my website is the "Content is King" blog post. Now this blog post is ranking for content is king. Unmasking the Myth: Debunking Bill Gates’s “Content is King” Statement! This was a statement made by Bill Gates in 2000 or 1999. When people search for something like; "who said content is king" my blog page might pop up. Step 5: Write Your Blog Articles for Your Customers (based on your desired SEO keywords) The last step is to begin SEO writing. This is where you use SEO keywords to write blog pages that rank on Google, super fast. Finding lucrative SEO keywords is just half the piece. Creating content that fits these SEO keywords in the right way requires practice and experience. What you need to do is to create blog content using targeting your preferred SEO keywords. I recommend using Google Search Console (GCS) to find even more related keywords. Another strategy I recommend is using Quora to see what people are searching for. Are you looking for someone who is experienced in SEO copywriting for website owners, agencies, organizations, businesses, or even blogs? I am a professional SEO consultant and specialist in blog writing. What I do is help businesses write SEO content that ranks fast. I'll research your brand, research your keywords, and do your website's SEO keyword research for your website. Here is a detailed guide I wrote on how to do this: The Perfect Blog Post: How to Write B2B Blog Articles for Your Clients & Customers What do you think about this blog guide on SEO keywords? I sell bespoke blog post articles, you can pre-order SEO articles handwritten by me (Simon Taki Zaku) here. You can also join this free SEO ranking course I am tutoring on this blog here. • Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity: Answer Engine vs Decision Engine

Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity: Answer Engine vs Decision Engine Compare Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity honestly: live research, citations, Nigerian context, decision support and which tool fits your next move. What happens when an AI can perform dozens of searches, inspect hundreds of sources and produce a researched answer in minutes, yet the ₦5 million decision sitting on your desk still belongs to you? What happens when every paragraph has citations, every source looks respectable and you are still staring at three reasonable options asking yourself, “Oga, which one am I actually supposed to choose?” And if you are a young Nigerian trying to choose a freelance skill, payment platform, hosting company or business path, does receiving a better answer automatically mean you now have a better decision? These are not theoretical questions anymore. Perplexity has become very good at collapsing a large amount of web research into a smaller, sourced answer. Perplexity officially describes itself as an answer engine that searches the web, identifies sources and synthesises information into direct responses. Its Research mode says it can perform dozens of searches, read hundreds of sources and reason through them before producing a report. Its newer Advanced Deep Research can also work with uploaded documents, run calculations, analyse data and explore harder-to-reach web sources. So please listen to me carefully. I am not going to build Dr. Simon Says AI by pretending Perplexity only gives shallow summaries. That would be nonsense. Perplexity can search. Perplexity can synthesise. Perplexity can reason. Perplexity can compare. Perplexity can cite. Perplexity can research deeply. And increasingly, Perplexity can help create actual work outputs rather than merely answering questions. Good. That raises the standard. Because if an answer engine becomes extremely good at providing sourced answers, then a Decision Engine™ cannot justify itself merely by saying, “I also give answers.” It has to answer a more difficult question. What happens after the answer is already good? That is where I want Dr. Simon Says AI to compete. Not on the number of sources it can collect. Not on pretending the wider internet belongs to IbiFoundry. Not on putting green buttons around information another platform already researches beautifully. But on diagnosis. Context. Prioritisation. Warnings. IbiFoundry knowledge routing. And the moment where an answer has to become an action. Perplexity asks: what does the evidence say? Dr. Simon Says AI is being built to continue with: given your actual situation, what should you do with it? That difference sounds small. In practice, it can be enormous. The 30-Second Answer: Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity If your primary job is researching a subject, searching the live web, seeing citations, comparing sources or building a sourced report, Perplexity is an exceptionally natural tool for that job. If your primary job is turning a problem into an IbiFoundry-specific decision, Nigerian-context warning, relevant resource, service route or human escalation, that is the narrower role Dr. Simon Says AI is deliberately being built to occupy. If you need serious research before making the decision, use Perplexity first and Dr. Simon Says AI second. If the decision is medical, legal, financial, security-sensitive or otherwise high stakes, both systems should remain decision-support tools rather than replacements for the appropriate professional or official authority. That is my answer. No AI tribalism required. First, What Exactly Is Perplexity? Perplexity currently describes itself both as an AI-powered search engine and as an answer engine. Its basic promise is beautifully simple. Ask a question. It searches the web. It synthesises what it finds. It gives you a direct conversational answer. And it shows citations that allow you to inspect the original sources. That last part is important. Because one of the weaknesses of early generative AI experiences was the strange confidence with which a machine could state something without making it easy for you to see where the claim came from. Perplexity made source visibility a major part of its product identity. Its own documentation explicitly encourages users to double-check sources even while the system tries to provide accurate sourced answers. That is a trust design I respect. A source should not become decoration. It should give the user somewhere to verify the answer. Perplexity also goes much further than quick answers. Pro Search is designed for more thorough exploration across multiple sources. Research mode goes deeper again. Projects can organise research, threads, files and work around a continuing subject. Perplexity also supports file-based workflows and increasingly sophisticated asset creation. In other words: Perplexity is not merely “Google with a chat box.” It is an increasingly capable research environment. Any fair comparison must begin there. Why Perplexity Is So Good When Your First Problem Is Uncertainty About Facts Imagine Tunde is evaluating three companies before signing a major supplier agreement. His first problem is not necessarily deciding. His first problem is knowing enough to deserve a decision. Who are the companies? What do their websites say? What public records exist? What complaints are visible? What news reports mention them? What do their product specifications say? What contradictory information exists? Which claims can be supported? That is a research problem. And a platform designed around live-web answers with citations is extremely useful here. Perplexity's Research mode is designed to iteratively search, read and reason through material before writing a comprehensive report. Advanced Deep Research can also cross-reference more information and process uploaded documents. My friend, that is powerful. And it exposes an important mistake people make with AI. Sometimes we rush into asking “What should I do?” before we have gathered enough evidence to make the question sensible. A good Decision Engine should not compete with evidence gathering. It should respect it. Sometimes the best Dr. Simon Says AI answer should literally be: “We do not know enough yet, so research this first.” Wisdom is not always a conclusion. Sometimes wisdom is recognising that the evidence is incomplete. What Is An Answer Engine? Perplexity uses the term directly. An answer engine is designed to move beyond merely presenting possible webpages and instead synthesise information into a direct response. That sounds simple, but it represents a major change in the way human beings interact with information. Traditional search often made the user perform more of the synthesis. Open result one. Read it. Open result two. Compare it. Open result three. Notice the disagreement. Build your own summary. Answer engines increasingly perform part of that synthesis for you. Instead of: “Here are ten places where the answer may exist.” You move closer to: “Here is what several relevant sources collectively appear to say.” That can save enormous time. But now something subtle happens. Once information synthesis becomes easier, the decision itself becomes more visible as the remaining problem. You know what the five products cost. You know their features. You know the reviewers' complaints. You know the current alternatives. You know which studies support which argument. And still: Which one fits you? That is the gap I find fascinating. What Is A Decision Engine™ Then? I use the phrase Decision Engine™ for the product architecture I am building around Dr. Simon Says AI. The important word is not “engine.” The important word is “decision.” The design starts from the assumption that a user's explicit question may hide a different underlying problem. Someone asks: “Best freelance skills in Nigeria.” An answer engine can research current demand and produce an excellent sourced list. Useful. But the user's true question may be: “Which skill gives me the best chance of earning my first money given that I have an old laptop, ten hours per week, strong writing ability and almost no capital?” Now the variables have changed. This is no longer only a market-research problem. It is a fit problem. A prioritisation problem. A trade-off problem. A behaviour problem. That is why Dr. Simon Says AI uses: Search → Diagnosis → Decision → Warning → Action. The system should understand the visible question. Diagnose the underlying intent. Recommend the most sensible direction it can support. Warn the person about the most likely avoidable mistake. Then route them into the next useful step. That next step could be another source. Another question. A free IbiFoundry guide. A paid IbiFoundry service. Ibi-Verify. WhatsApp. Or a qualified professional outside IbiFoundry. That is the architecture. The canonical explanation lives here: https://www.ibifoundry.com.ng/dr-simon-says-ai-decision-engine Answer Engine vs Decision Engine: The Difference In One Example Suppose Mariam asks: “What is the best project-management software for a Nigerian marketing team?” Perplexity can investigate the market. It can compare current pricing. It can summarise features. It can cite company documentation. It can surface reviews. It can help her understand the space very quickly. That is valuable. But imagine Mariam now says: “We are only six people, everybody already uses WhatsApp, two team members hate complicated software, I need client approvals, our budget is tight and the biggest problem is that tasks disappear inside group chats.” Now the question has changed. The best software globally may not be the best software for Mariam. The Decision Engine layer should therefore ask: What problem are we actually solving? Which features are mandatory? Which features are impressive but irrelevant? What is the switching cost? What will the team actually adopt? What could go wrong? What is the smallest sensible test? And perhaps the conclusion becomes: “Do not migrate the whole company yet. Test this tool with one active client project for fourteen days.” That is a different type of value. Not more information. A better decision boundary. Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity: Side-By-Side Live-Web Research Perplexity: Core strength. Dr. Simon Says AI: Can use research capabilities depending on implementation, but live-web breadth is not the central category argument. Citations And Source Visibility Perplexity: Core product strength. Dr. Simon Says AI: Important whenever external evidence supports a decision, but source display alone is not its differentiator. Fast Factual Orientation Perplexity: Excellent fit. Dr. Simon Says AI: Useful when orientation immediately needs to become a contextual decision. Deep Multi-Source Research Perplexity: Stronger and more mature fit today. Dr. Simon Says AI: Not the category I need to pretend to own. Uploaded Documents And Research Synthesis Perplexity: Current research capabilities include document analysis. Dr. Simon Says AI: Relevant where the documents form part of a real IbiFoundry decision workflow. Explicit Decision-First Default Architecture Dr. Simon Says AI: Core design. Perplexity: Can absolutely make recommendations and reason toward decisions, but that is not the only organising idea of the product. Nigerian-Context-First Positioning Dr. Simon Says AI: Core positioning. Perplexity: Can research Nigeria and incorporate context when asked. IbiFoundry Knowledge Graph Dr. Simon Says AI: Native advantage. Perplexity: Not natively organised around IbiFoundry. Ibi-Verify Route Dr. Simon Says AI: Native advantage. Perplexity: Can help research red flags but is not the IbiFoundry verification service. Routing Into Dr. Simon's Coaching, SEO, Content, Website Or Human Support Dr. Simon Says AI: Native route. Perplexity: Can identify outside options, including IbiFoundry if its web research surfaces them, but it is not built around our ecosystem. Broad Research Outside IbiFoundry Perplexity: Massive advantage. Dr. Simon Says AI: That is not the point of the product. Best System For Everything Neither. And please, let us keep it that way. Where Perplexity Is Clearly The Better Fit If I need to research a topic I barely understand, Perplexity is a very natural place to start. If I need current sources and citations around a developing subject, Perplexity makes sense. If I want to compare what several sources say without manually reading every page before obtaining an overview, Perplexity is useful. If I want extensive professional research, its Research features are explicitly designed for that. If I want to upload documents and combine those documents with wider research, Perplexity increasingly supports that workflow. If I want to organise ongoing research inside Projects, Perplexity supports dedicated workspaces. If I want the wider web rather than the IbiFoundry ecosystem, Perplexity has the obvious breadth advantage. If my problem is: “Help me understand what reliable information currently says about this subject.” Perplexity is directly designed around that job. Where Dr. Simon Says AI May Be The Better Fit Now imagine Daniel finishes his Perplexity research. He has five freelance skills. He has demand data. He has salary estimates. He has opinions from freelancers. He has links. He has comparisons. Beautiful. But Daniel still owns one laptop. He still has limited data. He still has two months left in NYSC. He still has no portfolio. And he still needs to choose one direction. That is where I want Dr. Simon Says AI to become useful. Not by researching another fifty sources. By asking: Which option best fits your current assets? What is the cheapest serious experiment? Which path lets you create proof fastest? Which option are you emotionally attracted to but commercially unprepared for? What should you refuse to buy yet? What can you do this week? And because Daniel's problem sits inside an IbiFoundry topic, the system can route him directly into the Free Freelance to $1K lesson: https://www.ibifoundry.com.ng/courses-freelance-to-1k-free-lesson That routing is the native advantage. One Uncomfortable Truth: Citations Do Not Automatically Create Certainty I love citations. I want more AI systems to make evidence easier to inspect. But a citation can support a fact without resolving your decision. A source can tell you that Product A costs less. Another can tell you Product B has more features. Another can show Product C has stronger reviews. All three claims can be true. The decision still depends on what you value. Price. Reliability. Speed. Trust. Risk. Learning curve. Reversibility. Cash flow. Time. Local availability. Your ability. Your stage. A sourced answer can therefore still end with: “It depends.” And sometimes “it depends” is the truthful answer. But when possible, a Decision Engine should continue: “It depends mainly on these three variables, and based on what you told me, I would start here.” That is the value proposition. Perplexity Is Already Moving Beyond Simple Answers, And That Matters This is another place where weak comparison content would become outdated quickly. Perplexity is not standing still inside the narrow category name “answer engine.” Its Research product performs iterative analysis. Its Advanced Deep Research can run calculations and work with uploaded material. Its product environment includes Projects and asset-creation capabilities. That means category boundaries are becoming blurry. Search engines answer. Answer engines reason. Assistants research. Agents act. Decision engines can search. Everybody is moving into everybody else's neighbourhood. So Dr. Simon Says AI cannot depend on a semantic trick. The phrase Decision Engine™ only matters if the experience itself feels decisively different. Does it diagnose? Does it prioritise? Does it understand Nigerian context? Does it surface the important warning? Does it know when to stop selling? Does it route correctly? Does it know when a human is required? Does the user leave knowing what to do? That is the test. The Best Workflow May Be Perplexity First, Dr. Simon Says AI Second This is the part I suspect many people will actually use. Imagine Tunde is choosing a new payment infrastructure provider. He asks Perplexity to research the options. Perplexity gathers current information. It compares pricing. It identifies features. It surfaces documentation. It gives him citations. Now Tunde takes the strongest three options and asks Dr. Simon Says AI: “My Nigerian company processes about ₦20 million monthly, most customers pay locally, we need predictable settlement, I hate operational downtime and I care more about reliability than having the cheapest fee, so which of these three should I test first?” Now we have a decision problem. Dr. Simon Says AI should not repeat the entire research report. It should isolate the variables that actually determine the choice. Then it should recommend a sensible test. And warn Tunde about whatever he should verify before moving real money. That is a beautiful workflow. Research broadly. Decide narrowly. Verify what matters. Act reversibly where possible. If Your Deals Depend On Trust Before The First Meeting, This Is Bigger Than AI You may be an exporter whose foreign buyers regularly ask for certificates, website proof, company information and leadership credibility before money moves. You may run a real estate company where serious prospects hear your name offline and immediately search your projects, directors and public reputation online. You may run a construction company bidding for substantial contracts while procurement officers quietly compare your public digital footprint with the seriousness of the job you want. You may run a logistics company moving millions of naira in goods while your online presence still makes the business look smaller than it really is. You may run a private school where parents hear the school name, then immediately check leadership, fees, reputation, results and credibility before arranging a visit. If your offline business is stronger than what a stranger can verify online, you have a search-trust problem before you have a traffic problem. That is exactly why I care so much about discoverability, proof architecture and decision support. Why Trust Dr. Simon Taki Zaku? I prefer evidence that can survive inspection. One client, Rinol Alaj, Founder and CEO of Uniclix App, wrote: “Working with Simon for around a year on our blog has really helped kickstart our content marketing efforts over at Uniclixapp.com. He’s written several blog articles that have collectively attracted exactly 1,506,400 unique visitors to our company blog. One article alone, about Twitter analytics, has attracted over 482,700 visitors to our website. I highly recommend Simon for startups and blogs.” I have also worked on more than 20 websites and helped generate substantial organic visibility across different projects. But please do not trust me simply because this paragraph sounds impressive. Investigate me. Read the public pages. Watch the videos. Check the screenshots. Read the testimonials. Look at the company. Look at the founder. Trust should increase after inspection, not before it. My Free Visibility Snapshot is for a serious business owner who wants a fast first-pass look at the public search and trust signals surrounding the company before committing to a deeper paid audit. This is especially useful if you sell high-value services, court partners, pitch investors, export products, bid for contracts or routinely hear: “Send us your website first.” Chat personally with Dr. Simon Taki Zaku on WhatsApp: https://wa.me/2349137839031 Paid Visibility Audit — ₦50,000 To ₦100,000 When the Free Visibility Snapshot finds a real trust gap, that is when the deeper paid audit makes sense. This is for an established company that wants more than a quick glance. The audit can examine areas such as: Search presence. Website authority. Founder visibility. Evidence architecture. Buyer trust. Content gaps. Search and AI visibility. Conversion routes. The key question is simple: What does a serious stranger find when they investigate your company before contacting you? If one weak Google result, broken founder trail or thin proof layer can create friction in a ₦10 million, ₦50 million or ₦100 million discussion, the audit is not about vanity rankings. It is about commercial due diligence. Book a Search and AI Visibility Strategy Audit with Dr. Simon Taki Zaku: https://calendly.com/simonzaku/ibifoundry-search-and-ai-visibility-strategy-audits-with-dr-simon-taki-zaku Is SEO Still Worth It? If by SEO you mean publishing random articles and chasing rankings without buyer intent, proof architecture or conversion logic, I would not recommend spending serious money on that. If you mean making your company easier to discover, understand, verify and trust across search and AI-driven discovery, that remains commercially important. The question is no longer simply: “Can we rank?” The better question is: “What happens when a serious buyer searches us?” And increasingly: “What happens when an AI system tries to understand who we are?” How Is This Different From A Typical Agency? I am not interested in selling you a monthly activity list simply because an agency needs recurring retainers. I want to diagnose the commercial visibility problem first. Then show you what matters. Then recommend the smallest serious intervention that can improve it. That may be technical SEO. It may be stronger founder authority. It may be better content. It may be clearer service pages. It may be proof architecture. It may be website restructuring. It may be AI visibility. It may be a combination. The answer should follow the diagnosis. Not the package menu. Your Business Today vs Your Business After Search Trust Is Fixed Your Business Today Prospects hear your name and still need convincing that you are established. Salespeople repeatedly explain facts your website should already prove. Important negotiations begin cold. You rely heavily on paid ads or personal referrals. Founder and company information appears fragmented online. Your Business After Search Trust Is Stronger More prospects arrive already understanding what you do. Meetings begin warmer because basic credibility checks are easier. Negotiations spend less time proving identity and more time discussing fit. Inbound leads have more context before reaching your team. Your company becomes less dependent on one acquisition channel. Search trust is not magic. It does not guarantee deals. But it can remove unnecessary friction before the sales conversation even starts. Search Trust Foundation If your real problem is bigger than rankings, we can build the Search Trust Foundation first. This is for a company whose search problem is structural: Weak website authority. Thin founder evidence. Scattered proof. Unclear service positioning. Poor content depth. A digital footprint that does not match the seriousness of the business. The purpose is not to “do some SEO.” The purpose is to make your company easier for a serious stranger to discover, understand, verify, trust and contact. It is to disclose it and still help the reader make a sensible choice. What About Privacy? Privacy deserves its own paragraph whenever people upload business information into AI tools. You should understand the privacy and data-use settings of any AI service before putting sensitive client, company, legal or personal information into it. The same principle applies to Dr. Simon Says AI. Do not casually paste secrets simply because an interface feels intelligent. Convenience should not suspend judgement. When Perplexity Should Be Your First Tool Use Perplexity first when your biggest problem is not knowing the current facts. Use it when you need source-backed orientation. Use it when you need to explore many sources quickly. Use it when you want to investigate a market. Use it when you need a professional research starting point. Use it when you want to cross-reference multiple pieces of evidence. Use it when your hidden question is: “What does the best available evidence currently say?” When Dr. Simon Says AI Should Be Your First Tool Use Dr. Simon Says AI first when the basic facts are not your biggest problem. Use it when your real problem is indecision. Use it when your question belongs directly inside an IbiFoundry topic. Use it when Nigerian context changes the recommendation. Use it when you want the answer structured around a decision, warning and next step. Use it when you need to know which IbiFoundry resource already solves the deeper problem. Use it when a situation may need Ibi-Verify. Use it when the appropriate next step may be a human. Use it when your hidden question is: “I understand the situation, but what should I actually do now?” Ask Dr. Simon Says AI: https://www.ibifoundry.com.ng/search When You Should Use Both Use Perplexity to research the terrain. Use Dr. Simon Says AI to narrow the route. Use Perplexity to gather current evidence. Use Dr. Simon Says AI to ask what the evidence changes. Use Perplexity to compare ten products. Use Dr. Simon Says AI to identify which two deserve your next test. Use Perplexity to investigate a suspicious claim. Use Dr. Simon Says AI to structure the red flags and next safety step. Then use Ibi-Verify if the problem requires real-world identity verification: https://www.ibifoundry.com.ng/having-doubts-verify-a-nigerian-african-online-love-relationship Use Perplexity to understand the research. Use the relevant professional when the decision exceeds what either AI should responsibly own. This is not weaker positioning. This is mature tool selection. Can Perplexity Make Decisions Too? Of course. Modern AI systems are not trapped inside neat marketing categories. You can ask Perplexity to recommend a product. You can ask it to compare choices. You can give it your preferences. You can ask it to reason. You can ask follow-up questions. You can ask its research workflows to clarify a broad task. So I will never define Dr. Simon Says AI by saying: “Perplexity cannot decide.” That would be false positioning. The difference I am trying to create is that decision architecture is the starting philosophy of Dr. Simon Says AI rather than merely one possible prompt. That includes: Intent diagnosis. Nigerian context. Warnings. IbiFoundry knowledge relationships. Commercial relevance. Non-commercial recommendations. Human escalation. And one next move. That is a product-design distinction. Not a claim of magical intelligence. Can Dr. Simon Says AI Replace Perplexity? No. And again, I do not want it to. If your job is deep open-web research across hundreds of sources, Perplexity has mature dedicated infrastructure for that workflow. If you need rich citation-oriented research, use the tool built around that problem. Dr. Simon Says AI should not become an inferior copy of Perplexity merely because answer engines are fashionable. Its job is to become unusually good at the narrower layer it claims. Diagnosis. Decision. Warning. Action. That is enough territory to spend years improving. Why This Entire Comparison Matters To IbiFoundry This article is not floating alone. It belongs to a connected entity network. Each question reinforces the same entity. Each supporting page points upward toward the cornerstone. And every useful next step has somewhere sensible to go. That is how a website starts becoming an actual knowledge system. Frequently Asked Questions About Dr. Simon Says AI vs Perplexity Is Dr. Simon Says AI Better Than Perplexity? Not universally. Perplexity is currently much more mature for broad live-web research, citation-oriented answers and deep research workflows, while Dr. Simon Says AI is deliberately being built around a narrower decision-first IbiFoundry experience. Is Perplexity An Answer Engine? Yes. Perplexity explicitly uses the term “answer engine” to describe how it searches the web and synthesises source-backed answers. What Is The Difference Between An Answer Engine And A Decision Engine? An answer engine primarily helps synthesise what information says, while the Decision Engine concept used by Dr. Simon Says AI focuses more deliberately on turning a user's actual context into diagnosis, prioritisation, warnings and a next action. Does Perplexity Search The Live Web? Yes. Perplexity is designed around searching and retrieving current web information when responding to queries. Does Perplexity Provide Citations? Yes. Source visibility and links to original information are central parts of the Perplexity experience. Can Perplexity Perform Deep Research? Yes. Its Research workflows are designed for iterative multi-source research and deeper analysis. Can Perplexity Make Recommendations? Yes. The distinction in this article is not that Perplexity is incapable of recommendations, but that Dr. Simon Says AI is intentionally architected around decision behaviour as its central product identity. Which Is Better For Nigerians? That depends on the job. Perplexity is an excellent option for broad sourced research about Nigerian or global subjects, while Dr. Simon Says AI is deliberately being designed around Nigerian-context decision support and the IbiFoundry ecosystem. Can I Use Perplexity And Dr. Simon Says AI Together? Yes. One strong workflow is Perplexity for broad research followed by Dr. Simon Says AI for narrowing that research into a contextual IbiFoundry decision and next action. Which One Should I Use For Scam Verification? Perplexity can help investigate public information and source claims, while Dr. Simon Says AI can help structure the decision and route appropriate cases into Ibi-Verify. Ibi-Verify: https://www.ibifoundry.com.ng/having-doubts-verify-a-nigerian-african-online-love-relationship Can Dr. Simon Says AI Replace Perplexity? No. If your primary job is deep open-web research, broad source exploration and citation-heavy investigation, use a product designed around that problem. Dr. Simon Says AI should become unusually useful at the narrower layer it claims: Diagnosis. Decision. Warning. Action. What Should I Use For High-Stakes Decisions? Use AI for research and decision support, but escalate to the appropriate professional, regulator, institution or official authority when medical, legal, financial, security or other high-stakes consequences are involved. Good AI judgement includes knowing when AI should stop. So Which One Should You Actually Use? My friend, if your problem is ignorance, research. If your problem is uncertainty about the evidence, verify. If your problem is indecision after the evidence is already strong, decide. Perplexity is very good at reducing the first problem. Dr. Simon Says AI is being built deliberately around the third. And good judgement sits across all three. Do not use a Decision Engine to escape necessary research. Do not use an Answer Engine to outsource responsibility. Do not use citations as decoration. Do not confuse confidence with evidence. Do not confuse evidence with relevance. And do not confuse a recommendation with your responsibility to make the final move. There is no shame in using Perplexity when Perplexity is the better tool. There is no advantage in forcing Dr. Simon Says AI into every problem. I would rather build something narrower that becomes deeply useful than something broad that becomes a poor imitation of everybody else. So research until you understand enough. Verify what could materially change the decision. Then ask: What exactly should happen next? That is where Dr. Simon Says AI wants to meet you. • What Is Dr. Simon Says AI? Nigeria’s AI Decision Engine Explained

Discover Dr. Simon Says AI, a Nigerian AI decision engine that turns questions into clear answers, warnings and practical next steps without search overload. Author: Dr. Simon Taki Zaku, Publisher: IbiFoundry Limited. You have probably done this before. You open Google because you have one question, you open five tabs, you watch two YouTube videos, somebody sends you a WhatsApp voice note, you ask ChatGPT, you see another opinion on Facebook, and thirty minutes later you have more information than when you started but somehow you are still asking yourself; “Oga, so what exactly should I do now?” That small sentence is one of the biggest reasons I built Dr. Simon Says AI — Decision Engine™. I did not build it because the world lacks search engines. My friend, we have plenty. I did not build it because Google suddenly became useless, because that would simply be untrue. I did not build it because ChatGPT cannot answer questions either, because that would also be untrue. I built it because I believe there is still a very important space between finding information, understanding information, and making a sensible decision from that information. That space is where Dr. Simon Says AI wants to live. I am Dr. Simon Taki Zaku, Founder and CEO of IbiFoundry Limited, and I am building this from Taraba State, Nigeria. Yes, Taraba. Not Silicon Valley. Not London. Not somewhere I need to pretend is more important than where God planted me. And one thing years of writing, SEO, digital strategy, freelancing, business, teaching and simply talking with ordinary people have taught me is that most people are not searching because they enjoy searching. They are searching because there is something they need to decide. “Should I pay this person?” “Is this website genuine?” “How do I register for WAEC?” “Which investment app makes more sense for me?” “How much should I charge this client?” “Should I install solar?” “How can my business rank on Google?” “Is this Nigerian man or woman I met online telling me the truth?” “What exactly should I do next?” Those are not merely information questions. Many of them are decision questions wearing search-query clothes. That is the idea behind Dr. Simon Says AI. Stop Searching. Start Deciding. What you will learn In this guide, I will explain: What Dr. Simon Says AI actually is Why I built it from Taraba State, Nigeria The difference between a search engine, answer engine and decision engine How the Dr. Simon Says AI decision system works What happens after you ask a question Why it is Naija-first rather than Nigeria-only The kinds of questions it can help you think through Dr. Simon Says AI vs Google Search Dr. Simon Says AI vs ChatGPT How Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity fit into the picture Whether you should trust Dr. Simon Says AI blindly What the AI should never replace Why it connects you to IbiFoundry resources and human help Questions you can try right now Frequently asked questions The next decision I want you to make What is Dr. Simon Says AI? Here is the direct answer ↑ Back to Table of Contents Dr. Simon Says AI — Decision Engine™ is an IbiFoundry-powered, Naija-first AI decision experience I created to help a user move from a question to clearer understanding, warnings, practical options and a sensible next action instead of stopping at information alone. That is the simplest definition. Notice something important there. I did not say it magically knows everything. It does not. I did not say every answer it gives should be obeyed. Absolutely not. And I am not asking you to delete Google, uninstall ChatGPT, abandon Gemini or stop using whatever useful research tools already work for you. The point is different. I am interested in what happens after information arrives. Suppose you search: “How can I register WAEC 2026?” Information can tell you registration exists. A good search experience can help you locate official information and useful guides. An AI answer can summarise the process. But the person asking may still need something more human: “Which information should I trust?” “What should I prepare first?” “What mistake could cost me?” “Am I already late?” “What should I avoid?” “What do I do today?” That is the layer I am deliberately trying to build around Dr. Simon Says AI. The engine is therefore designed around a simple flow: Search → Diagnosis → Decision → Warning → Action. And where an existing IbiFoundry article, service, free guide, tool, course, verification resource or human conversation can genuinely help the user continue, the system can route the person there instead of pretending one AI response must solve everything. That last part matters to me. A trustworthy AI should sometimes be confident enough to say: “My friend, I have helped you as far as I responsibly can; now verify this with the official source.” Or: “Do not send another naira yet.” Or: “This one needs a doctor, lawyer, licensed financial professional or relevant government authority, not another AI paragraph.” Or even: “Come to WhatsApp and let a real human look at this with you.” That is not weakness. I believe that is intelligence. Dr. Simon Says AI therefore sits inside a much bigger IbiFoundry idea. IbiFoundry is not merely trying to publish more pages. We are building connected knowledge, useful tools, practical services, human support and decision routes around real questions ordinary Nigerians and Africans already have. Dr. Simon Says AI becomes one doorway into that ecosystem. You ask. The system tries to understand what you really need. It helps reduce the noise. It gives you a clearer direction. Then it shows you where to go next. That is why I call it a Decision Engine™. IbiFounder note: If you already understand the idea and simply want to use the tool, ask Dr. Simon Says AI here. Why I built Dr. Simon Says AI from Taraba State, Nigeria ↑ Back to Table of Contents There is something I find beautiful about building technology from a place people do not normally mention in the first paragraph of an AI story. Taraba State. Ibi. Jalingo. Wukari. These names matter to me because they remind me that useful ideas do not need permission from famous technology cities before they become useful. I am from Taraba State, Nigeria, and much of the way I think about the internet comes from seeing what information inequality looks like from here. Sometimes somebody does not need a 47-page international report. They need to know whether the cybercafé man is telling them the truth about an examination registration. Sometimes somebody does not need another motivational speech about freelancing. They need somebody to explain how a Nigerian beginner with no Upwork reviews can begin building proof and approaching clients. Sometimes somebody abroad is talking to a Nigerian online and does not know whether the story they are hearing is real, exaggerated or completely fabricated. Sometimes a small business owner in Jalingo has a website but cannot understand why Google barely shows it. Sometimes somebody bought Starlink, solar equipment or some online service and simply wants to know the next sensible step before spending more money. The internet has enormous information. But access to information and access to useful judgement are not the same thing. That distinction has followed me for years. When I started experimenting with the internet, I did not begin with some beautiful office and a shelf full of expensive computers. My journey started much more modestly, experimenting with blogging and learning what the internet could make possible from Nigeria. Over time I became deeply interested in search, writing, content systems, digital business, online visibility and the peculiar thing that happens when a person finds exactly the right page at exactly the right moment. That eventually grew into IbiFoundry. And IbiFoundry itself increasingly pushed me toward a bigger question: What if the website stopped behaving like a pile of pages and started behaving like an intelligent map? A map that knows this WAEC question belongs to our WAEC registration guide. A map that knows a JAMB student may need our JAMB success blueprint. A map that knows somebody worried about a suspicious online relationship should see Ibi-Verify before seeing some unrelated product. A map that knows a Nigerian freelancer asking how to begin should probably enter my free Freelance to $1K lesson before anybody starts shouting “buy, buy, buy.” A map that knows somebody asking how to rank a business should connect search strategy, technical visibility, content and our IbiFoundry SEO services. That is the larger imagination behind Dr. Simon Says AI. I am not trying to build intelligence that merely speaks. I want to build intelligence that understands where knowledge belongs. There is also another reason the Nigerian starting point matters. Context changes advice. A payment tool that is convenient in California may be irrelevant to someone in Taraba. A scholarship instruction may depend on a Nigerian institution. A business recommendation must understand naira realities. A travel answer about Taraba should not sound like it was written by somebody who thinks Jalingo is a neighbourhood in Lagos. A scam warning involving Nigerian banking, cryptocurrency, mobile money or online relationships may require cultural and practical context. So when I say Naija-first, I am not saying “Nigeria-only.” I am saying: Start by understanding somebody properly. Then expand. The internet is global, but human problems are always experienced locally. That is where I wanted Dr. Simon Says AI to begin. From here. Search engine vs answer engine vs decision engine: what is the difference? ↑ Back to Table of Contents This distinction needs to be explained carefully because the internet has changed dramatically. Years ago, it was easier to describe a search engine as something that gave you a page of links and left you to investigate. That description is no longer enough. Google Search itself has evolved far beyond a simple list of blue links, and Google’s AI Mode can handle complex, multi-part questions, comparisons and follow-up questions while connecting users with web information. ChatGPT can also search the web when current information is useful and can return answers with links or inline citations to relevant sources. Perplexity explicitly describes itself as an answer engine, explaining that it searches the web, identifies sources and synthesises information into direct answers rather than requiring the user to work through a traditional list of search results. So I do not want to create a fake argument where modern search engines only “find,” AI tools only “chat,” and Dr. Simon Says AI alone can think. That would age badly. Instead, I use three ideas to explain the product. A search engine helps you discover At its core, search is incredibly valuable because discovery matters. You need the official WAEC website. You need a government document. You need a business address. You need current news. You need multiple independent sources. You need to investigate what exists. Google, Bing and other search systems are extraordinarily useful in that world. An answer engine helps you understand Now imagine you do not want to open fifteen sources yourself. You want technology to retrieve information, understand the question and synthesise a useful response. That is the answer-engine idea. Perplexity uses that terminology directly, and modern ChatGPT Search and Google AI experiences increasingly provide similar answer-oriented interactions in different ways. Instead of: “Here are ten places where the information may exist.” The experience moves closer to: “Here is what those sources collectively appear to say.” That is a major leap. But I am interested in one step after that. A decision engine helps you ask, “So what should I do?” This is the category I am trying to develop around Dr. Simon Says AI. Not because other AI products cannot recommend actions. Of course they can. The difference is product emphasis and architecture. Dr. Simon Says AI is intentionally organised around the decision journey. What are you really trying to accomplish? What is the most useful answer? What danger could you be missing? What should you avoid? What action makes sense now? Which IbiFoundry knowledge asset already goes deeper? Does this require human help? Should you act, verify, compare, wait or stop? That creates a useful three-layer model: Layer Main job User’s hidden question Search engine Discovery “Where can I find information about this?” Answer engine Synthesis “What does the information appear to mean?” Decision engine Direction “Given my actual situation, what should I do next?” The boundaries overlap. A search engine can answer. An answer engine can recommend. A chatbot can search. An agent can act. A decision engine can also search and answer. The categories are therefore better understood as design priorities, not prison cells. And this matters because research increasingly suggests that traditional and generative search systems may retrieve and present substantially different source sets for the same information need. A 2026 study comparing traditional Google results, Google AI Overviews and Gemini across a benchmark of 11,500 user queries found significant differences in the sources surfaced by the different systems, reinforcing a simple lesson: how information is retrieved and synthesised can shape what the user ultimately sees. That makes judgement more important, not less. Because once machines begin deciding what information you encounter first, the user still needs to ask: Is the source current? Is the claim supported? Is there a financial interest behind this recommendation? Does this apply in Nigeria? What could go wrong? Do I need an official source? And finally: What is the wisest next move? That final question is where I want Dr. Simon Says AI to earn its place. How Dr. Simon Says AI works ↑ Back to Table of Contents If I had to reduce the entire Dr. Simon Says AI philosophy to one line, it would be this: Search → Diagnosis → Decision → Warning → Action. Let me break that down properly. Search Everything begins with your actual question. Not the question I wish you had asked. Not the keyword some SEO tool tells me is profitable. Your question. You may type: “Is Temu legit in Nigeria?” Or: “How can I get my first freelance client?” Or: “This man I met online says he is from Nigeria and needs money for an emergency; should I send it?” Or: “Which is better, PiggyVest or Cowrywise?” Or: “How do I rank my Wix website on Google?” The query is the doorway. But it is not yet the whole problem. Diagnosis This is where wisdom must enter. Two people can type almost the same words while needing completely different help. Imagine two people search: “Trust Wallet hacked.” The first person's funds were already transferred away. The second person merely received a suspicious message saying their wallet is compromised. Same topic. Different problem. Different urgency. Different action. So Dr. Simon Says AI is designed to interpret intent rather than merely match words. Behind the literal query, the engine should look for questions such as: What does this person appear to want? Is there a safety risk? Is money involved? Is the user trying to compare? Is the user trying to verify? Is this primarily informational? Could wrong advice cause serious harm? Does the answer depend on changing information? Is there an existing IbiFoundry resource that goes deeper? Diagnosis prevents a search box from behaving like a vending machine. Decision After understanding the likely intent, the response should become directional. Not authoritarian. Directional. For example: “Based on what you have described, I would not send money yet.” Or: “If you are completely new to freelancing, start with one sellable skill and one client problem before paying for ten tools.” Or: “For current WAEC deadlines and fees, verify the official announcement before making payment.” Or: “If your goal is a Nigerian side-income path rather than immediate full-time freelancing, start smaller and validate the skill before resigning from your job.” A useful decision is specific enough to move you forward but humble enough to acknowledge uncertainty. Warning This may be my favourite part of the architecture. Most people searching online are not only asking: “What should I do?” They also need: “What should I absolutely not do?” That difference can save money. Time. Relationships. Reputation. And sometimes much more. If someone searches a crypto-recovery question, the warning may be: Do not pay another stranger who guarantees fund recovery. If somebody is dealing with a romantic online relationship, the warning may be: Do not allow emotional urgency to become a substitute for verification. If somebody is trying to rank a website, the warning may be: Do not buy thousands of junk backlinks because somebody promised page-one results in 48 hours. If somebody is preparing for an examination, the warning may be: Do not confuse “expo” groups with preparation. A good decision system should reveal traps as well as opportunities. Action Now we reach the point many information products forget. What happens next? I want the answer to leave you with something concrete. Read this official source. Open this IbiFoundry guide. Download this checklist. Save this evidence. Compare these two things. Contact this authority. Ask another question. Join a free lesson. Speak with a human. Start verification. Book a service. Or sometimes: Do nothing yet. Yes, waiting can be an action. Refusing to send money can be an action. Closing the suspicious website can be an action. Getting a second medical opinion can be an action. The goal is not to maximise clicks. The goal is to reduce uncertainty. And when an existing IbiFoundry asset is relevant, Dr. Simon Says AI can connect the answer directly into our wider knowledge network. That means a WAEC query can continue into the complete WAEC registration guide. A suspicious relationship can continue into Ibi-Verify. A freelance beginner can continue into the free Freelance to $1K lesson. A company needing visibility can continue into our SEO services, content marketing services or website design service. That is why I describe Dr. Simon Says AI as more than a text box. The search bar is the doorway. The connected decision system behind it is the product. Ibi-Aid: turn a confusing search into one clear next move If you have a real question sitting in your head right now, do not manufacture a “perfect prompt.” Ask it exactly the way you would ask me if we were sitting together. Ask Dr. Simon Says AI now → What happens when you ask Dr. Simon Says AI a question? ↑ Back to Table of Contents Let us use a simple example. Suppose you type: “How can I register WAEC 2026?” I am using this as an illustrative example of the intended decision journey, not as a substitute for checking current official WAEC information. The first thing the system should recognise is that you are probably not asking for the history of WAEC. You have an action problem. You want to register. That means the answer should quickly move toward what matters: Your registration route. Your timing. Your required information. Your subject choices. Your payment risk. Your preparation. And the places where students commonly make mistakes. The response might first explain the registration route in plain language. Then it should warn you against unofficial agents, fake payment instructions or so-called “expo” promises. Then it should tell you which facts can change and therefore need current official confirmation. Then it can connect you to our WAEC registration, fees and deadline guide. If JAMB is likely to become the next step, it can also surface my JAMB success blueprint. That is already more useful than answering the first literal sentence and disappearing. Now take another query: “Is this Nigerian online relationship real or a scam?” That is completely different. The engine should not begin by recommending products. It should begin with protection. Do not send more money merely because somebody creates urgency. Preserve screenshots. Preserve names and phone numbers. Do not delete conversations. Separate what you independently verified from what the person merely told you. Watch for repeated emergencies. Watch for resistance to reasonable verification. Then, because this is a real-world identity and trust problem that may exceed what an AI response can prove, the natural next route is Ibi-Verify. Different search. Different intent. Different warning. Different CTA. That is exactly how I want the system to behave. Now consider: “How can I get freelance clients from Nigeria?” The person's real problem may not be platforms at all. Perhaps there is no portfolio. No positioning. No niche. No clear offer. No outreach system. No proof. In that case, giving them a list of 25 freelance websites may make them feel productive without actually improving their chances. A decision-first answer should help the person diagnose the bottleneck. If they are a beginner, I would naturally route them first to my free Freelance to $1K lesson. If they are already serious about structured one-on-one guidance, the next step may eventually become my premium freelance coaching. If the problem is specifically pricing, they should not be sent to a generic homepage when there is a more exact pricing resource. The principle is simple: Deep page before homepage. Relevant resource before random offer. Safety before sales. Teaching before selling. That is the experience I want every Dr. Simon Says AI search to move toward. Why I call Dr. Simon Says AI Naija-first rather than Nigeria-only ↑ Back to Table of Contents “Naija-first” is an important part of how I think about this project, but I do not want the phrase misunderstood. It does not mean Dr. Simon Says AI should only answer Nigerian questions. It does not mean the rest of Africa is an afterthought. And it certainly does not mean an international user should receive a lower-quality experience. Naija-first means we refuse to build as though everybody on the internet lives in the same economic, cultural and infrastructural environment. Let me give you a simple example. Someone in Nigeria asking: “How can I receive international freelance payments?” may be dealing with payment access, exchange rates, bank restrictions, documentation, platform availability and fees that are completely different from the assumptions inside a generic American freelance guide. Someone asking: “Should I install solar?” may not be making a lifestyle choice about reducing a little electricity consumption. They may be dealing with several hours of grid outage. Battery replacement cost. Inverter size. Local technicians. Panel availability. And the difference between powering a fan and powering an entire house. That is a different decision context. Someone searching: “Can I tour Taraba safely?” does not need a robotic paragraph that merely lists attractions. They may need local movement context, transport, realistic planning and somebody on ground. That is why we built Tour Taraba with IbiFoundry. Someone asking whether an online Nigerian relationship is trustworthy may need cultural understanding without falling into the opposite error of stereotyping every Nigerian person as suspicious. That requires nuance. Someone comparing PiggyVest and Cowrywise wants a Nigerian investment context, not a lecture about a savings product that is unavailable to them. That is why IbiFoundry already has a dedicated PiggyVest vs Cowrywise guide. Context is not decoration. Context changes the decision. But here is the beautiful thing. When you build from a real place, you often discover universal human problems. The student in Jalingo afraid of missing a deadline is not emotionally different from a student in Ghana or Kenya facing another examination system. The Nigerian freelancer trying to prove value has much in common with a freelancer in Pakistan, India, South Africa or the Philippines. The woman in Europe wondering whether an online lover is telling the truth is experiencing a universal trust problem. The founder in Taraba struggling to become visible online has the same basic desire as a founder in Manchester: “Please, let the right people find me and trust what they find.” So I begin locally. Then I expand globally. Naija-first. Africa-aware. Human-focused. And, God willing, useful anywhere. What can Dr. Simon Says AI help you decide? ↑ Back to Table of Contents One of the easiest mistakes we could make is positioning Dr. Simon Says AI as if it only understands “AI questions.” That would waste the entire idea. The technology is the infrastructure. Your problem is the subject. Here are some of the areas I am deliberately building into the broader Dr. Simon Says AI and IbiFoundry knowledge ecosystem. Education and examination decisions You can ask about WAEC. JAMB. Admission. University choices. Study preparation. Registration confusion. The engine should help distinguish educational guidance from facts that must be confirmed with the relevant official institution. Freelancing and online income You can ask how to choose a freelance skill. How to identify a client. How to create a portfolio. How to price. How to approach potential clients. How to escape the endless Fiverr-and-Upwork-refresh cycle. The point is not to promise overnight income. The point is to help you build something commercially sensible. SEO and website visibility You can ask why your website is not ranking. What an SEO audit should contain. How content fits into ranking. Why your Wix sitemap matters. How internal linking works. What AI visibility means. And when you actually need professional implementation rather than another tutorial. My deeper resources include our IbiFoundry SEO agency, content marketing service and website design service. Scam, fraud and relationship verification This is one category where I want Dr. Simon Says AI to be especially cautious. Scammers exploit urgency. Fear. Romance. Greed. Embarrassment. Authority. And the very human desire to believe somebody we care about. If something feels suspicious, you can begin with our detailed Nigerian scam tactics guide. If the issue involves a cryptocurrency wallet, our Trust Wallet hacked guide may be relevant. If it involves an online relationship, Ibi-Verify is the deeper route. Nigerian finance and digital services People want help comparing savings tools. Payment apps. International payment options. Investment platforms. Online shopping services. But financial information can change, so the engine should separate general education from regulated financial advice and current product terms. Technology, Starlink and solar You can ask about connectivity. Equipment choices. Installation questions. Common mistakes. And whether an IbiFoundry service fits your situation. We have dedicated pages for Starlink installation and solar installation. Taraba, Ibi, tourism and Nigerian knowledge You can ask about Taraba State. Jalingo. Wukari. Ibi. Nigerian tribes. Culture. Tourism. Local opportunities. And the kinds of overlooked builders I increasingly want IbiFoundry to document. Business and entrepreneurship You can ask: Should I build a website? Should I run ads yet? What offer should I sell? What should my landing page contain? How do I build trust online? How should a small Nigerian company think about content? What should I automate? The engine should reduce these questions into decisions rather than throwing forty marketing tactics at you. That is the larger ambition. Not an AI that knows one subject. A connected decision layer over a growing body of practical knowledge. Free IbiFounder resource: The Stop Searching Decision Checklist™ Before you search again, ask yourself five things: What am I actually trying to decide? What fact could completely change this decision? What is the worst avoidable mistake here? Which information must come from an official or qualified source? What is the smallest sensible next action I can take today? That five-question habit alone can dramatically improve the quality of the questions you ask any AI tool. Dr. Simon Says AI vs Google Search ↑ Back to Table of Contents Google and Dr. Simon Says AI are not trying to solve exactly the same problem. Google Search is one of the world's major discovery systems, and modern Google Search now includes AI experiences that can answer complex questions, handle follow-ups and connect users to information across the web. I use Google. I study Google. A significant part of my professional work has revolved around understanding how businesses become discoverable through Google. So this is not one of those comparison articles where I have to insult the bigger product so mine can sound important. Google's extraordinary strength is access to the web. Dr. Simon Says AI's intended strength is decision context around a narrower IbiFoundry knowledge and action ecosystem. If you ask Google: “Best solar installers in Nigeria” Google can expose you to companies, maps, websites, reviews, ads, videos and other useful sources. That discovery power matters. If you ask Dr. Simon Says AI: “I live in Jalingo, I have unreliable electricity and I need a solar setup for my home, what should I think about before paying an installer?” the experience should concentrate on your decision: Expected load. Battery expectations. Budget. Installation risk. Questions to ask. Mistakes to avoid. Then, if it genuinely fits, it can route you into IbiFoundry solar installation. So my preferred framing is not: Dr. Simon Says AI replaces Google. It is: Google can help you search the web; Dr. Simon Says AI is being designed to help you navigate a decision and then connect you to the next useful action. Different centre of gravity. I have prepared an entire supporting comparison for this because the distinction deserves more detail: Related guide: Dr. Simon Says AI vs Google Search — coming next in this knowledge series. Dr. Simon Says AI vs ChatGPT ↑ Back to Table of Contents ChatGPT is far broader than Dr. Simon Says AI. That is the first thing to understand. ChatGPT can help with writing, research, coding, analysis, learning, brainstorming, file work and many other general-purpose tasks, and ChatGPT Search can also search the web for timely information and provide citations or relevant source links. Dr. Simon Says AI is narrower by design. Its intended personality, knowledge routing and conversion architecture begin from a particular founder, company, geography and philosophy. Dr. Simon Taki Zaku. IbiFoundry. Nigeria. Taraba. Decision-first thinking. Trust-first recommendations. Existing IbiFoundry resources. Human escalation. Think of the difference this way. You might ask ChatGPT: “Give me 20 ways to get freelance clients.” And a capable answer may give you twenty genuinely useful ideas. Dr. Simon Says AI should instead ask a deeper internal question: “Which one or two of those twenty actually fit this person's current stage?” If you have no portfolio, maybe your immediate bottleneck is proof. If you have proof but nobody knows you exist, perhaps it is outreach. If clients respond but never buy, maybe the problem is positioning or pricing. If you already have clients but cannot retain them, another acquisition tactic may be a distraction. The point is not that ChatGPT cannot reason like this. It can. The difference is that Dr. Simon Says AI is being deliberately organised so this decision behaviour is the default product experience rather than one of thousands of possible uses. That distinction will become even clearer in the dedicated comparison: Related guide: Dr. Simon Says AI vs ChatGPT — coming next in this knowledge series. What about Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity? ↑ Back to Table of Contents The AI search landscape is moving far too quickly for me to build Dr. Simon Says AI around outdated stereotypes. Google says AI Mode is designed for complex and multi-part questions, comparisons and follow-ups, and its Africa rollout brought this AI search experience directly into markets including ours. Perplexity describes itself as an answer engine that searches the web and synthesises information into direct, current responses with sources, while still encouraging users to double-check important information. ChatGPT Search also combines conversational answers with timely web information and source citations. So the internet is already moving from: Find pages. Toward: Understand information. And increasingly toward: Complete tasks. That means Dr. Simon Says AI cannot win simply by saying: “Look, my AI gives answers!” Everybody gives answers now. It has to earn usefulness elsewhere. Context. Trust. Decision architecture. Local knowledge. Strong routing. Human escalation. And a connected ecosystem behind each answer. That is the opportunity. I do not need Dr. Simon Says AI to become everything. I need it to become unusually useful for the problems it chooses to own. Can you trust Dr. Simon Says AI? ↑ Back to Table of Contents Please listen to me carefully here. Do not blindly trust Dr. Simon Says AI. Yes. I built the thing and I am telling you that myself. Do not blindly trust ChatGPT either. Do not blindly trust Google AI Overviews. Do not blindly trust Gemini. Do not blindly trust Perplexity. Do not blindly trust a TikTok expert. Do not blindly trust a WhatsApp broadcast. And please do not blindly trust Dr. Simon Taki Zaku simply because “Dr.” is in front of my name. Trust should come from evidence. OpenAI itself tells users that AI systems can be wrong and recommends checking important information, especially quotes, data, technical information and external references. Perplexity similarly encourages users to double-check sources even while positioning its product around current, sourced answers. That humility must also exist here. There are several reasons. Information changes WAEC deadlines change. Government rules change. Prices change. Investment product terms change. Exchange rates change. Software changes. Politicians change. Company executives change. Travel security conditions change. A good answer from six months ago can become a dangerous answer today. AI can misunderstand you You may leave out the most important detail. The system may interpret your intent incorrectly. A question that sounds financial may actually be legal. A relationship question may involve coercion. A health question may involve symptoms that require urgent medical attention. The answer is only as useful as the information and context available. Sources can disagree Sometimes there is no clean single answer. Different credible sources can disagree. A responsible system should not hide that disagreement merely because users prefer certainty. High-risk decisions require a higher bar If you are about to send ₦5 million to somebody, “the AI said it seems okay” is not due diligence. If you are about to take medication, an AI response is not your medical prescription. If you are signing a serious contract, an AI summary is not a substitute for qualified legal review. If you are making a major investment decision, you need appropriate financial and regulatory context. If you suspect fraud, preservation of evidence and contact with appropriate financial institutions or authorities may matter more than reading another article. Recommendations can have commercial relationships This is another trust issue I want to be transparent about. Some IbiFoundry resources are our own products or services. Some tools we may recommend can involve affiliate relationships. That does not automatically make the recommendation bad. But the recommendation should still be relevant first. If an IbiFoundry service does not solve your problem, Dr. Simon Says AI should not force it into the answer. If an affiliate tool is irrelevant, commission is not a reason to recommend it. Usefulness first. This is why my preferred trust model is: AI suggests. Evidence supports. You decide. Humans step in where humans are needed. And if Dr. Simon Says AI ever becomes confident enough to stop admitting uncertainty, then we will have made it worse rather than better. What Dr. Simon Says AI should never replace ↑ Back to Table of Contents AI can be extraordinarily useful without pretending to be everybody. That boundary matters. It should not replace your doctor Dr. Simon Says AI can help you understand general health information. It can help you prepare questions. It can explain terminology. It can encourage you to seek care. But it should not diagnose a medical emergency from a casual paragraph and then act as though a clinician is unnecessary. It should not replace your lawyer It can explain general legal concepts. It can help you organise a document. It can identify questions worth asking. But serious legal rights, contracts, criminal matters, immigration issues and litigation deserve qualified legal advice in the relevant jurisdiction. It should not replace regulated financial advice It can explain financial concepts. Compare publicly available product information. Help you understand risk. But your complete financial circumstances matter. An AI should not turn “what is PiggyVest?” into “put all your money here.” It should not replace official government and examination authorities If an examination body's official deadline differs from an IbiFoundry article, the official authority wins. If an immigration rule changes, the current government source wins. If a regulator changes a requirement, the regulator wins. This is exactly why current-data queries need current verification. It should not replace emergency services If somebody is in immediate danger, suffering a medical emergency, facing violence or dealing with an urgent security threat, the job of the AI is not to keep the person chatting for engagement metrics. The job is to recognise that the conversation has crossed into a situation requiring immediate real-world help. It should not replace your own judgement This may be the biggest one. Technology can strengthen judgement. It should not delete it. Ask questions. Check sources. Compare. Slow down when money or emotion is involved. Notice when somebody is creating artificial urgency. Ask for evidence. Be willing to change your mind. And remember: The output is a recommendation. Your life is the decision. Why Dr. Simon Says AI recommends IbiFoundry pages, tools and human help ↑ Back to Table of Contents This part of Dr. Simon Says AI becomes much easier to understand when you stop imagining IbiFoundry as a normal blog. I want IbiFoundry to become a connected knowledge institution. One question connects to another. One article connects to a framework. One framework connects to a service. One service connects to proof. One course connects to another learning step. One AI answer connects to the exact resource that can help the person continue. That is the idea. Suppose you ask: “How do I start freelancing in Nigeria?” We already have an appropriate free Freelance to $1K lesson. Why send you to a generic homepage? Suppose you ask: “How do I verify the Nigerian man I met online?” We already built Ibi-Verify. Why show you hosting software? Suppose your question is: “How do I grow organic traffic?” That naturally connects to our SEO services, business blogging services and deeper SEO articles. Suppose you ask about Taraba tourism. That belongs with Tour Taraba. The recommendation should make semantic sense. This is important commercially too. I am not ashamed that IbiFoundry is a business. Businesses need revenue. People need jobs. Technology needs infrastructure. Content costs time and money to create. But there is a correct order. Teach. Build trust. Offer relevant help. Invite action. Selling something useful after helping someone understand a problem is completely different from forcing an unrelated product into every answer. And sometimes the right recommendation will be free. Read an article. Watch a video. Ask another question. Check an official source. Download a guide. Sometimes the recommendation will be commercial. Book an SEO service. Join coaching. Order content. Start verification. Hire the team. Sometimes no IbiFoundry product should appear at all. That discipline matters. Because if every path mysteriously ends with: “BUY SOMETHING FROM US!” then Dr. Simon Says AI is not a decision engine. It is an advertisement wearing an AI costume. I am not interested in building that. Ibi-Offers or Ibi-Products for your next decision If your question is about freelancing, begin with the free Freelance to $1K lesson before considering the premium coaching route. If your problem is business visibility, explore IbiFoundry SEO, Ibi-Writes content marketing or website design, depending on the actual bottleneck. If your problem involves online relationship doubt or possible identity deception, begin with Ibi-Verify. And if you do not yet know which path fits, that is exactly what the AI is there to help you clarify. Ask Dr. Simon Says AI → Try these Dr. Simon Says AI searches ↑ Back to Table of Contents Do not overthink the prompt. Ask naturally. Here are some useful starting points: “How can I register WAEC 2026 without using the wrong agent?” “How can I prepare for JAMB if I have only three months left?” “I am a Nigerian beginner with no freelance experience; what skill should I learn first?” “How much should I charge my first freelance client?” “Why is my website not ranking on Google?” “Should I hire an SEO agency or learn SEO myself first?” “Is this Nigerian online relationship genuine or are there red flags?” “Someone says they can recover my stolen crypto if I pay first; what should I do?” “PiggyVest vs Cowrywise: which one makes more sense for my situation?” “Is Temu safe to use from Nigeria?” “Should I buy Starlink in Nigeria?” “Should I install solar now or keep using my current power setup?” “What should I check before paying a Nigerian online vendor?” “How can I build a website that actually generates leads?” “What is the fastest sensible way to improve my business visibility online?” “Can I safely visit Taraba State as a first-time visitor?” “Who exactly is Dr. Simon Taki Zaku and why should I trust IbiFoundry?” There is no magic incantation. Ask your real question. Then improve it with context. For example, instead of: “Solar?” try: “I live in Jalingo, I want solar for four fans, lights, television, refrigerator and laptops, and my budget is limited; what should I consider first?” Better context gives better decisions. Run your own Dr. Simon Says AI search now → Frequently asked questions about Dr. Simon Says AI ↑ Back to Table of Contents What exactly is Dr. Simon Says AI? Dr. Simon Says AI — Decision Engine™ is a Naija-first IbiFoundry AI experience designed to help users move from a search question toward clearer understanding, practical warnings and an appropriate next action. Its core philosophy is Search → Diagnosis → Decision → Warning → Action, with relevant IbiFoundry resources or human support introduced when they genuinely help the user continue. Is Dr. Simon Says AI a search engine or chatbot? I describe it primarily as a Decision Engine™ rather than trying to force it into one older category. It can use conversational AI and search-oriented behaviour, but its intended product focus is what happens after the question: understanding the user's likely intent, reducing noise, surfacing risks and helping the person identify what to do next. Is Dr. Simon Says AI free? The central search experience is intended to be freely accessible, while some recommendations may naturally point toward optional paid IbiFoundry products or services when those are relevant to the user's problem. A paid recommendation should not be presented merely because IbiFoundry can make money from it. How is Dr. Simon Says AI different from ChatGPT? ChatGPT is a broad general-purpose AI product that can assist with a very wide range of tasks and can also search the web for timely information with sources. Dr. Simon Says AI is intentionally narrower, with a Dr. Simon/IbiFoundry knowledge graph, Nigerian and African context, decision-oriented responses, contextual warnings and routing toward relevant IbiFoundry resources or human support. How is Dr. Simon Says AI different from Google Search? Google is an enormous discovery and search platform whose current AI experiences can also answer complex questions and follow-ups. Dr. Simon Says AI is designed around a smaller, opinionated decision journey where the main objective is not discovering everything on the web but helping the user decide the most useful next step within the problem being discussed. Does Dr. Simon Says AI search the live internet? Whether live web retrieval is used can depend on the deployed version and infrastructure available at the time you use the product, so users should not assume every answer automatically reflects real-time internet data. For deadlines, regulations, prices, current office-holders, security conditions and other changing facts, current sources should always be verified. Can Dr. Simon Says AI help with WAEC, JAMB, scams, freelancing and Nigerian business questions? Those are exactly the kinds of areas the IbiFoundry knowledge ecosystem is being built around. However, the quality of the answer still depends on the available information, and official or professional sources remain necessary where the subject requires them. Can I trust every answer from Dr. Simon Says AI? No. Use the answer as decision support, inspect important sources, verify current facts and seek qualified human help for high-stakes medical, legal, financial, security or other professional matters. Blind trust would contradict the purpose of building a trust-first system. Who built Dr. Simon Says AI? I am Dr. Simon Taki Zaku, Founder and CEO of IbiFoundry Limited, from Taraba State, Nigeria. You can read more about my work and the wider mission on the official About Dr. Simon Taki Zaku and What Is IbiFoundry? pages. Why does Dr. Simon Says AI sometimes recommend another article, service or WhatsApp conversation? Because one AI response should not pretend to be the end of every problem. If a dedicated guide teaches the subject better, a verification service can investigate something the AI cannot prove, or a human conversation is genuinely the better next step, routing you there is part of the decision rather than a failure of the AI. You have searched enough: what do you need to decide? ↑ Back to Table of Contents I want to end where we started. You probably did not arrive on this page because you woke up excited to study the philosophical differences between search engines, answer engines and decision engines. You wanted to understand one thing: “What exactly is this Dr. Simon Says AI?” Now you know. It is my attempt to build a more human bridge between information and action. Not a replacement for Google. Not a replacement for ChatGPT. Not a replacement for human expertise. And certainly not an oracle that should be trusted blindly. It is a decision experience. You bring the problem. The system tries to diagnose what you actually need. It helps you understand the useful part. It warns you about obvious traps. It recommends a sensible next move. And where IbiFoundry already has something that can take you further, it connects you there. That is the product. But there is also a bigger idea beneath the product. I believe the future internet will not be won simply by whoever publishes the most information. Information is becoming abundant. AI can generate more of it before you finish drinking one cup of tea. The harder problem is becoming: What deserves my attention? What should I believe? What applies to me? What risk am I missing? What should I do next? Those are human questions. And that is why my ambition for Dr. Simon Says AI remains human. Technology should reduce confusion. Not create a more impressive form of confusion. AI should help you think. Not teach you to stop thinking. A recommendation should reduce uncertainty. Not pressure you into somebody else's sales target. And every answer should try to leave you a little wiser than you were before you asked. So, my friend, enough explanation. You now know what Dr. Simon Says AI is. The better question is: What do you need to decide today? Stop Searching. Start Deciding. Ask Dr. Simon Says AI now → Prefer a real human conversation? My work sits around SEO, content systems, digital strategy, entrepreneurship, online visibility, freelancing, practical education and the bigger question of how the internet can create real opportunities for ordinary people. I built IbiFoundry around a simple belief: knowledge becomes much more valuable when somebody can actually use it. That belief eventually led me here.
